KPMG is currently seeking a Sr. Technical Incident Manager to join
our Digital Nexus organization. This is a remote work
opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Lead the entire incident management process and coordination of
participating teams, from detection to resolution, including Major
Incident response
Ensure the appropriate communications are sent to IT and business
leadership, keeping them advised of the incident and business
impact; post incident collaboration with business and technical
leadership around measures to prevent recurrence and increase
availability
Assess and identify opportunities in current incident management
process to reduce false positives from monitoring alerts, balancing
auto-ticketing, auto-resolution and manual intervention
Identify opportunities for automated incident resolution, assess
financial viability/impact and participate in the development and
testing of solutions
Drive IT Service Management requirements to the ServiceNow platform
team around feature/functionality enhancements to more quickly
identify user/business impact associated with Incidents and
Changes, as well as improve the risk assessment for IT Change
Approvals
Resolve complex problems with little or no guidance; research and
promote specialized technical solutions independently
Qualifications:
Minimum eight years of recent experience supporting various
infrastructure stacks, including application, hypervisor, compute,
storage, Windows/Redhat Enterprise, networking supporting, multiple
business applications and IT services
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is
preferred
Prior architecture experience around highly resilient applications
and infrastructure solutions
Excellent verbal/written communication, organization and
collaboration skills with all levels of the organization
required
Experience working in a 24x7 IT operations environment; knowledge
of Incident Management and other ITSM ITIL processes; strong
technical background in a supporting discipline to analyze, design,
test, document, and implement solutions for continuous
availability; demonstrated experience with Service and Event
Management tools; development experience preferred
ServiceNow experience for ITSM preferred, but equivalent experience
in some ITSM SW suite; subject matter expertise in one or more
technical disciplines: application, hypervisor, compute, storage,
Windows/Redhat Enterprise, networking supporting, Cisco UCS, and
backup
