Immediate need for staff accountant seeking a stable company with growth potential and an excellent benefits package. Bachelor Degree, CPA and SOX exposure will be keys to success in this growing, family-oriented organization. Will be responsible for supporting the accounting & finance department, researching and responding to financial inquiries and performing financial analysis for an Aerospace and Defense company.

Staff Accountant responsibilities include:

? Posts data to various ledgers, registers, monthly recording of Journal entries, and logs following established accounting techniques and in accordance with GAAP

? Compiles and analyzes financial records including monthly account reconciliations

? Researches and responds to financial inquiries from management

? Participates in preparation of complex schedules and documentation for internal and external audits

? Assists in documentation of and ensures compliance with internal controls

? Reviews and analyzes assigned accounts

? Performs financial analysis and makes recommendations for the management of financial resources

? Reviews financial reports for accuracy; completes any additional review/investigation required
