Job Description:
Staff AccountantLocation: Irving/Las Colinas, TX - In office
non-remote position*Primary Function*This position is responsible
for assisting the Controller with basic accounting functions within
the CareFlite Accounting Department. This assistance will be with
monthly & yearly closes, daily banking, and other various
reconciliations. This person will support the accounts payable and
the accounting analysis function.This position requires a personal
commitment to CareFlites mission and core values and the
willingness to demonstrate those core values in all activities
performed for CareFlite or while representing CareFlite. The
incumbent(s) of this position are active participants in the
organization and support the changes necessary for the
organizations survival.*REPORTS TO / SUPERVISES*This position
reports directly to the Controller. This position is not
responsible for the supervision of any other CareFlite personnel
but must work collaboratively with other personnel to resolve any
accounting issues.*ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES** Works with
Controller and managers from all departments to resolve issues that
may occur. Monitor and track fixed asset additions and maintain
prepaid schedules. Assists in the input of accounts payable
invoices and POs as needed. May also produce weekly accounts
payable checks and assist with filing. This position also serves as
a resource for air and ground divisions in producing reports for
compliance objectives and strategic planning. This includes general
ledger reconciliations and other duties that may be assigned by the
Controller.* Reports errors and omissions in accounting records
promptly.* Incumbent(s) will actively participate in quality
assurance/improvement activities as directed by their supervisor.
Each incumbent will provide feedback in a positive, proactive
manner on quality assurance/improvement activities, which impact
their practice.* Incumbent(s) will identify efficiency or
cost-saving ideas promptly to their immediate supervisor.*
Incumbent(s) will focus their efforts on supporting their
co-workers at all times.* Actively seeks out additional assignments
or assists co-workers with their tasks when they have completed
their tasks.*PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT & GROWTH:** Incumbent(s) manage
their time appropriately to ensure that all areas of their job
responsibilities are adequately covered.* Has active listening

payables decision-making, including sound airworthiness
determinations, clinical determinations, and business

supervision.* Maintains personal knowledge of the area of expertise
through industry contacts, review of pertinent literature, and
utilization of available educational resources.* Maintains ethical,
courteous, and professional behavior, which reflects favorably on
CareFlite. Adheres to the CareFlite Corporate Compliance Manual.*
Monitors own areas of strength and weakness and seeks out
opportunities and/or guidance for improvement. Seeks appropriate
channels for personal and professional development.* Demonstrates
flexibility and can respond to changing priorities and constructive
guidance.* Deals with conflict appropriately and effectively.*
Exhibits a positive attitude in support of CareFlite. Refrains from
making negative comments about CareFlite, the hospital, and/or
staff.* Written and oral communications are clear and
concise.*KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:** Bachelor's degree in
accounting or related business field.* Minimum one year experience
preferred but not required.* Proficient with word processing
software and Excel.* Knowledge of Microsoft Great Plains and SQL
