Job Description:

A media company is looking for an Assistant Data Editor.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead a team in obtaining and analyzing data to create compelling content and stories
Collaborate with journalists to build exclusive data sets and searchable databases
Assist the Senior Data Editor and work on complex data stories

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in journalism or equivalent
At least five years of newsroom data analysis experience
Experience as a leader and collaborator on teams
Familiarity with data scraping, web development, and analytical tools
Experience with public records requests and editing copy is a plus
