TITLE: Senior Devops Engineer DEPARTMENT: Enterprise BI Platforms REPORTS TO: Director - Enterprise BI Platforms LOCATION: Irving, TX Seeking a Senior Devops Engineer who will be working in a large, complex, and dynamic data environment. In this position you'll shape the next generation of data solutions by working with the most current technologies and solutions for the Enterprise Business Intelligence Platforms team. EBIP is looking for exceptional engineers to help run, optimize and scale our environment to the next level. Be a member of the team that is responsible for the data collection and reporting. You will operate and scale systems that are used to drive customer delight and engagement - whether it's our internal stakeholders or our business and consumer customers. Responsibilities: To perform the job successfully, candidates must be able to execute the following essential capabilities. Have a passion for DevOps Engineering and a flexible, creative approach to problem solving. Work with business partners, product development teams and senior designers to capture requirements & determine solutions that integrate across the enterprise Work cross-functionally across multiple teams to solve challenging big data engineering problems across a broad range of systems Apply a "build-to-manage", problem-solving and innovative mindset to the design, build, test, deployment, change and maintenance of enterprise class applications drawing from deep engineering expertise Measure success against platform stability, effective integration and delivery, instrumentation, release quality, technical debt(toil) reduction, development of automation, risk/security compliance, and sustained advancement of the SRE practice Work to integrate data across enterprise systems such as Salesforce, Workday, Adaptive, and other core operations management tools. Utilize database technologies, including Redshift, AWS Athena, Snowflake and other cloud technologies to implement the enterprise vision for BI source data Work with business owners and partners to understand their requirements and to build solutions to solve critical business needs Provide technical guidance and thought leadership to other members of the team Qualifications: Degree in Data Science, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics or related quantitative field (advanced degree preferred) 4+ years of hands-on experience with one or more programming languages: Java, Python, C#, etc. 3+ years of hands-on experience with container orchestration systems such as Kubernetes Experience with build automation, source control and CI/CD tools (GitHub, Artifactory, Jenkins, Spinnaker, etc) Experience with Linux configuration, deployment and troubleshooting Experience with Kafka, Elastic, Druid, Object Storage a strong plus Excellent problem solving and programming skills; proven technical leadership and communication skills Cloud infrastructure as code experience, e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation Experience with Open API and Microservice architecture Experience with configuration management tools such as: Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Salt Experience with enterprise platforms, data, and applications Experience in agile development methodologies and project management Demonstrated verbal, written, presentation skills Enthusiastic attention to detail, ownership, and pride in personal results Ability to acquire new skills quickly and thrive in a collaborative team environment Comprehensive Benefits We offer a competitive salary, outstanding benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance, paid vacation and sick days, paid holidays, tuition reimbursement, and 401(k) with company match.
