Extracts, organizes and analyzes data to provide accurate, clear and concise reports. Gathers analytical requirements working with subject management experts. Develops data frameworks for analysis to support end-user data discoveryResponsibilities & Requirements:Responsibilities:Works collaboratively with M&T team members to build consistent, accurate, and available data solutions.Leads capturing, organization, and delivery of digital information to meet the needs of Flow Control testing and business initiatives.Builds reports and dashboards to support end-user reporting and information requirements.Collaborates with M&T Team members to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and trust from internal customers.Collaborates with Engineering Systems Team to develop dashboards and metricsDevelops process maps and key business requirements areas for Flow Control Division workflowsDefines problem statements and extracts user requirements for Technical data analysis.Produces necessary documentation to ensure consistency, quality, and transparency across the Flow Control Platform.Performs data transformation and data analysis on engineering data.Identifies underlying trends or patterns and generates meaningful insights/recommendations for the business.Participates in data quality issue analysis and resolution recommendations.Responsible for maintaining knowledge of online analytical processing toolsDevelops data extraction, transformation, cleansing, and loading processes between engineering and Flow Control business systems.Acquires data from data sources, write scripts for data migration extract/transform/load stepsDesigns and develops data models that optimize analytical reporting performance.Works closely with Engineering and Management to define and agree on tool effectiveness, updates and improvements as requiredRequirements:Bachelor's DegreesMinimum of three years' experience in Data Management preferably within an industrial manufacturing organization where you developed technical data analytical and reporting tools.High familiarity with ERP and other IT systems such as Oracle, SAP, BPC, PowerBi, MS OfficeExtensive use of scientific design and data collection methodologies, tools and analysis packages to collect, validate, and analyze technical data.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.Application and implementation of experimental design, scientific procedures and processes, and data analysis.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to effectively communicate plans, proposals, results and negotiate options at management levelsKnowledge of primary databases with a demonstrated ability to write complex queries to be used for data validation and troubleshootingPreferred Experience / Skills:Skill in understanding and focusing on the clients' needsSkill in analysis, solid decision-making and problem-solvingAbility to deliver results under pressureAbility to demonstrate interpersonal and teambuilding skills, working with technical and non-technical individualsAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writingWorks under moderate supervision.Proactive problem solver who identifies data quality issues and develops action plans and communication strategies to eliminate the issue within the organization.Identifies and quantifies the impact of poor data management on FCD Processes.Uses expertise and knowledge to influence and motivate global teams to develop solutions to resolve data quality issues.Solves complex problems and develops solutions based on technical expertise and product reliability monitoring and comprehensive research of issuesFamiliarity with Labview Testing SoftwareExperience in SQL, Macros, Coding or Mapping is a plusOther Posting Location: Cookeville, Tennessee US;, Houston, Texas US;, Raleigh, North Carolina US;, Springville, Utah US;Job Advertising Title: Data Analyst, EngineeringPrimary Posting Location: Irving, Texas USJob Posting Category: MarketingEmployment Type: Full timeCountry: United StatesAuto req ID: 53866BRFlowserve is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions without regard to race, gender, disability or protected veteran status.
