Job Description:
-PURPOSE OF THE JOB -The primary purpose of the Regional Process
Diagnostics Engineer (RPDE) Leader is to improve safety, quality,
cost, and the environmental footprint of manufacturing by
discovering new insight into manufacturing process dynamics. - The
RPDE Leader uses analytical data systems resulting in robust
predictive models of process behaviors. - The RPDE Leader must then
leverage those models by integrating new procedures and/or
automation into plant operations. -In addition, the RPDE Leader is
involved in the Early Management (EM) for design and installation
stages of Capital projects for new assets and modification of
existing assets, and conducts and develops various analytical
methods for determining reliability of components, equipment and
processes. -This role is expected to engage in daily communication
to plant operations teams as part of routine process monitoring to
ensure optimum performance. - To be successful, it will be critical
for the RPDE Leader to influence the behavior of others by means of
outstanding technical translation of complex analytics to
operators, supervisors, and other technical persons in Operations
and Science and Technology roles. -Reports to: Stable Operations

- Implement a personal safety action plan and review with
leader
- Live the OC safety culture and promote
- Ensure a safe work environment through employee coaching and
engagement, and strict adherence to OC safety policies and
procedures. -Uses Early Warning Diagnostic technology to eliminate
production and process losses - 70%
- Develops adequate process monitoring capability and warning
systems to eliminate losses due to upset conditions or process
deviations.
- Provides daily ongoing monitoring of Early Warning Diagnostics
tools, Management of Change systems. - -
- Support/lead plant Root Cause Failure Analyses.
- Identifies deviations from expected outputs; and appropriately
values and prioritizes findings to focus on the most critical
opportunities.
- Confers with Subject Matter Experts (SME), Technical Leaders,
Reliability Engineers and RMDC Leaders to develop a plan in
partnership with Operations and Maintenance, to effectively and
economically improve equipment and process designs. -Leads and
Develops capability of others - 30%
- Coaches and trains other technical persons in the effective use
of manufacturing analytic systems. -
- In partnership with Plant Operations Teams, Process Support
Specialists, and Process Control Engineers, builds effective work
relationships to improve plant performance and drive continuous
improvement.
- Provides guidance to Capital Engineering and Science and
Technology for process monitoring specifications for new equipment
installations or process roll outs -
- Leads/Manages External resources on projects and programs
related to manufacturing analytics - -JOB REQUIREMENTS -MINIMUM
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science Engineering Degree required
- 3 - 5 years' experience in a technical leadership role
- Experience identifying process issues from data -PREFERRED
EXPERIENCE:
- Structured Query Language (SQL), -Early Warning Diagnostics,
and conditioned based monitoring -knowledge is a plus
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification a plus
- TPM Experience/Application is highly desirable
- Exposure or experience in a union environment is desirable
- Exposure to Reliability practices and processes, including the
following, are desirable:
- Statistical Process Control
- Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA)
- Failure Modes, effects and Analysis (FMEA)
- Pareto Analysis, Etc.
- Reliability Work Process (RWP)
- Ability to effectively communicate with and engage employees at
all levels of the organization
- Exposure to Quality Management (QM) Systems, Preventative
Maintenance (PM) and Predictive Maintenance (PdM) technologies
- Change Management
- Data Driven - ability to gather and analyze data to drive
decisions
- Understanding of Productivity and its accounting on the bottom
line - -
- TPM training or exposure is highly desirable
- Ability to influence without authority
- Roofing process knowledge and manufacturing experience is a
plus -#LI-KJ1 -The base salary range for this position is
$99,000-$129,000 with the potential for up to an additional 25% if
the applicant hired has additional related qualifications. We also
