Job Overview:

The Engineering Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for leading a variety of engineering activities including the design and deployment of cloud networking solutions (includes hardware as well as software technologies). The open position offers an emerging role of a BackBone and Cloud Network Engineer, where you will combine your skills of routing & switching with emerging cloud networking technologies and use automation and scripting to deliver at scale. You will interface with Citi businesses to understand their requirements (of their cloud projects) and work with various partners (Engineering, Cloud Ops, Security, PM, Cloud Management teams etc) to deliver on Citi regional/global backbone and Cloud Network Infrastructure connectivity.

Responsibilities:

• Serve as a technology subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders and provide direction for all firm mandated controls and compliance initiatives, all projects within the group
• Responsible for design and implementation of enterprise network and associated backbone and cloud infrastructure
• Perform network environment buildouts, process automation, datacenter setup, maintenance and support, and documentation of operating procedures and processes
• Analyze network activity and problems to discover and prevent systematic errors. Recommend network design changes/enhancements for improved systems availability and performance
• Work closely with various teams for the migration of resources from on-premise to cloud environments and utilize toolchain, scripts, automation for each stage in the infrastructure deployment
• Monitor, track, report, and proactively address issues taking a holistic view of health and supportability requirements, including documentation, monitoring, logging, high availability configuration, capacity and disaster recovery plans.
• Providing advanced network administration, operational support and problem resolution for workloads and applications hosted in both cloud platforms and on-premise.
• Stay in tune with new technologies in your areas but not limited to cloud computing & deployment, site reliability engineering, network design/architecture, infrastructure automation, security best practices, data engineering etc.
  Qualifications:
  • 6-10 years of relevant experience in an Engineering role namely Routing and Switching, Cloud Networking Technologies (AWS/GCP/Azure certification preferred )
  • Good understanding of networking requirements for wide area network and connectivity design options to different cloud models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and know how on emerging container platforms (ECS/EKS/PCF)
  • Understanding of network services used by large financial organizations namely datacenters, connectivity to 3rd party, Internet access, colo services, campus and branch connectivity
  • Desired knowledge on network security, DNS, load-balancer services and SASE
  • Experience working in Financial Services or a large complex and/or global environment
  • Project Management experience
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated analytic/diagnostic skills
  • Ability to work in a matrix environment and partner with virtual teams
  • Ability to work independently, multi-task, and take ownership of various parts of a project or initiative
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage to tight deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
  • Proven track record of operational process change and improvement
