position will be responsible for supporting the Corporate Strategy
group at Verizon - specifically Product and New Growth portfolio
Strategy within our Strategy Development team.Reporting to the
Director of Product and New Growth Strategy, you will be a key
member in driving the future of Strategy Development execution. The
Product and New Growth Strategy team is charged with helping to
make Verizon's product and business plans real. Acting as a force
multiplier for execution on the long term strategy in a company
transforming the future of connectivity for businesses, consumers,
and digital devices, there really is no more exciting place to

- Engage with leaders across Verizon to understand and synthesize
the alignment of commercial objectives with the product roadmap
being managed by the Product and New Growth Strategy team.
- Work with product leaders to understand their products, the
strategic drivers, and the customer challenges and use cases being
addressed.
- Leveraging your business acumen, along with your product and/or
business development expertise, to identify key commercialization
risks and challenges that could impact the success of products
achieving their commercial outcomes. Facilitate the creation of
mitigation plans, and identify the approach for executing on those
plans.
- Work shoulder to shoulder with business development, sales, and
other commercialization functions to ensure that throughout pursuit
of new growth objectives, customers are being actively engaged and
considered. Help ensure that cross-functional stakeholders are
piloting, engaging in MVPs and conducting lighthouse engagements to
hone new product launches and product growth.
- Identify, champion and drive alignment around new commercial
and business models based on product, go to market approach, and
customer needs.Where you'll be working...In this hybrid role,
you'll have a defined work location that includes work from home
and assigned office days set by your manager.What we're looking
for... You will be a catalyst for change and thus must be
comfortable with ambiguity, leading across multiple teams and
working with all levels of the organization to get results. You are
relentless in your customer-first mentality, and understand that in
driving product commercialization, addressing and articulating a
critical need is key to adoption, and purchase behavior. You thrive
in goal oriented, autonomous situations, but recognize how to make
best use of all the tools at your disposal (including ready access
to supportive executives that are backing your play). You hold
yourself to a high level of accountability, and like to measure
your contributions by the outcomes you help deliver. You are a
story-telling whiz, and love the engagement that comes with working
with the people across the table (or video conference) from you -
and not just the materials they are presenting.You'll need to
have:
- Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work
experience.
- Six or more years of relevant work experience.Even better if
you have one or more of the following:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance and/or
Engineering.
- MBA or equivalent degree from a Top Tier program.
- Strong communications skills and the ability to construct and
tell a story.
- An ability to think in a customer centric way while equally
being able to pivot around new ideas in an agile fashion.
- Willingness to try and fail with new concepts and new ways of
thinking. Comfortability with a level of uncertainty for
outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience solving complex, ambiguous, and
analytically challenging problems.
- An ability to synthesize information, frame issues
strategically, and present findings & insights.
- Anunderstanding of new technologies that disrupt existing
