Position Overview: The Preferred Partner Services Manager
manages all permanently brokered customer locations across the
United States and Canada. It is the Preferred Partner Service
Manager's responsibility to build a national network of vendors and
maintain or grow that network depending on the needs of the
company. The Manager must strive to maintain on-time service
cadence and reporting accuracy via proprietary IT solutions
supported by a third party programmer that the Manager directs-this
includes both a service and location management portal as well as
an accounting portal. The Manager has the responsibility to ensure
the Preferred Partner vendors meet the needs of the customers while
complying with LES required service and insurance levels, general
DOT and local regulations, and best safety practices. The Preferred
Partner Services Manager also must manage all invoices for billing
and accounts payable, complete month-end responsibilities, and meet
revenue and expense goals; financial reconciliation and internal
auditing will be needed. The Preferred Partner Services Manager
also must meet all reporting requirements for the Walmart UCO
program, for which all data flows through the Preferred Partner IT
solution.Essential Functions
- The Preferred Partner Services Manager is responsible for the
P&L for his/her area of responsibility and is to stay within
the budgeted expenses and to meet the revenue goals each
month.
- Review the monthly financial figures with your team as the
numbers become available. All figures should be audited for
accuracy with reclasses or accruals being submitted timely.
- The Branch Operations Manager is to perform vendor audits and
reviews (up to 4 per month). This may involve travel.
- Perform data audits on all locations monthly-ensure all new
accounts are uploaded into the Preferred Partner IT systems,
existing accounts have accurate attached detail fields, and remove
inactive locations.
- Proactive approach to vendors, build a relationship,
communicate, visit face to face and by phone, prevent issues before
they become a problem, resolve any issues, and keep their
services.
- Ensure that the vendor services match or exceed LES standards;
Service Technicians are in uniform, the vehicles are clean, and
that both represent a professional and positive image of LES at all
times.
- Work closely with the LES direct services operations teams to
ensure training and correct usage of the Preferred Partner
application needed for Walmart UCO reporting and data management.
Proactively reach out to any direct service branch or Preferred
Partner vendor on problematic report metrics.
- Work closely with LES account managers on troubleshooting
location issues and service needs.
- Provide various reports, complete special projects, and perform
service analyses as requested by director, vice president, or
executive leadership.
- Monitor and provide performance feedback on a consistent and
timely basis for all Preferred Partner administrators as well as
vendors.
- Know, understand, and comply with the regulations & permitting
requirements for all entities in your area of responsibility.
- Maintain processes for emergency or escalated response needs
for all service types. This includes managing afterhours and
weekend issues. Maintain a listing of vendor contact information
for afterhours needs.
- Complete and/or check the daily, weekly and monthly paperwork
(billing batches, accounts payable batches, work orders (including
upload into the IT portal), payroll, month-end/Walmart-UCO, missed
services, etc.).
- Must be familiar with standard Company practices and procedures
when assigning locations to vendors or taking customer calls via
customer service or the LES account management team.
- Must be able to solve problems, resolve differences, and
prioritize and multi-task.
- Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work
procedures and instructions.
- Communicate with co-workers, management, clients, vendors and
others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Coordinate with other departments and direct service
branches.
- Be able to respond quickly when emergencies arise.
- Be able to train and develop employees.
- On call nights and weekends

- Demonstrated good decision making and problem solving
skills
- Knowledge of accounting best practices for revenue and expense
tracking and auditing
- Ability to maintain and manage vendor contracts including
ability to qualify vendors based on LES requirements
(DOT/OSHA/Insurance/etc)
- Must be personable with people from all walks of life and be
able to be persuasive to get what is needed from vendors for
service
- Previous management experience
- Must have the ability to prioritize and be organized
- Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word,
Excel, Outlook)
- Professional appearance and demeanor

- Ability to travel 25% Education and Experience
- Associates Degree in Accounting or equivalent
- Experience with vendor management is a plus
- Two to four years' experience in a related area (logistics,
waste management, accounting)
- Successful experience managing employees
- Demonstrated good decision making and problem solving
skills
- Must have the ability to prioritize and be organized
- Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of
products including Word, Excel
- Must be able to learn and manage a proprietary service portal
IT solution and accounting tool that is separate from the rest of
