Spire Hospitality is seeking an ambitious and hands-on
officer-level member of its talented Corporate Executive Team to
oversee the Accounting and Finance functions of the company. Spire
Hospitality is a fast-growing, private company managing a diverse
portfolio of full-service, premium branded properties across the
United States for Private Equity, REITs, and High Net Worth
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the
Company's financial activities, including centralized accounting,
treasury, finance and lender and investor reporting. The ideal
Candidate will be highly involved with all constituents of the
organization including the parent company, AWH, and be based at the
corporate headquarters just outside of Dallas in Irving, TX.
Examples of responsibilities:
-Hotel Accounting - Recurring, centralized accounting and financial
reporting for the hotel portfolio overseeing a corporate accounting
team and teams in the field at the hotels.
-Investment Accounting - Accounting for upper tier entities in the
organization, including JV/REIT accounting, consolidations,
ownership reporting, lender reporting.
-Corporate Accounting - Accounting for the management company,
Spire Hospitality, and its parent company.
-Treasury Activities - working closely with AWH to monitor the
liquidity positions of the hotels and the various corporate
entities, maintaining the ongoing relationship with key financial
institutions, and overseeing the establishment of the banking
process for new acquisitions.
-Lender Relations - working with the various lenders on compliance,
draw requests and the application of loan provisions to operating
-Support Services -- managing the accounts payable, payroll,
capital spending and tax functions of the Company.
-Financial Due Diligence - leading all aspects of the financial due
diligence process for investment acquisition opportunities.
-Financial Audits and Income Tax Compliance - serving as the point
of contact for outside accounting firms providing audit and tax
services to the Company and the hotel portfolio.
The ideal qualified candidate will possess:
-A degree in Accounting and CPA designation, or equivalent.
-Operational accounting experience.
-Multi-unit management experience.
-Hospitality experience preferred.
-Extensive knowledge of accounting systems; strong management
skills and experience; analytical, and problem-solving skills;
strong, effective communication skills; and the ability to make
sound financial decisions in a collaborative environment.
-Have experience working with lenders in complex loan
