Job Description:

The Global Communications Manager will lead and support communications to reach and influence a variety of stakeholders on behalf of the Information Security Risk Management (ISRM) function - including employees, senior leaders, McKesson Board of Directors, and external organizations to name a few. Consistent, effective and direct communications with key stakeholders is essential to gain organizational alignment on ISRM strategies, priorities and execution of the work, as well as regular updates on how the work is progressing and the results. This role will report to the Sr. Director of ISRM Communications, Education and Metrics, and work across multiple partners and stakeholders to adapt to changing business needs in a matrix environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Handles the creation and implementation of multiple forms of internal strategic communication activities, programs and content guided by the McKesson Playbook and overall McKesson Technology and ISRM strategies.
  • Leads strategies, produces content, and organizes events to help align the organization's goals in support of greater employee engagement and business impact.
  • Generates comprehensive strategic communication plans that engage employees with the objectives, policies, and growth strategies of the company.
  • Responsible for planning, storytelling, writing and editing to persuade, educate and inspire internal audiences to change behavior or understand the work environment.
  • Assists with executive communications to support senior leadership in communicating key change initiatives, policy changes and other company information to employees and other stakeholders.
  • Continues enhancing McKesson s cybersecurity culture globally (Sentinels program) via comprehensive communications strategy and tactical plan.
  • Responsible for creation of agenda, presentation content, and other communication artifacts as needed for key organizational meetings and events. Communication artifacts should drive alignment and engagement around goals, objectives and ISRM priorities.
  • Provides editorial oversight for the ISRM intranet website to ensure accurate and timely information consistent with functional communications strategies is available to all employees on demand.
  • Facilitates alignment with Corporate Communications to ensure alignment of messages and brand.
  • Represents ISRM communications priorities internally across various communications teams, and the organization as appropriate.Minimum Requirements
    • 7+ years of communications and/or marketing communications experience with a Bachelor s degree; or, an advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experienceCritical Skills
      • Experience with Microsoft Suite (e.g. Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
      • Experience with SharePoint
      • Experience with graphic design software, web publishing / content management software
      • Experience managing external partners and vendors to complete work on time and on budget.Additional Knowledge & Skills
        • Possesses strong change management communications capabilities and understanding of organizational dynamics and social psychology.
        • First-hand experience deploying communication plans and deliverables for enterprise level strategic initiatives and programs.
        • Demonstrated experience interacting with and providing recommendations to Director and VP-level executives in a dynamic, matrix, global environment.
        • Experience in process design, as well as process improvement skill set.
        • Experience in leveraging data/metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement/process redesign.
        • Analytic thinker with a demonstrated ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.
        • Effectively work across multiple levels in the organization, teams, stakeholders and locations (globally).
        • Demonstrated strengths in listening, fact-finding, and exploratory skills. Ability to uncover additional information.
        • Strong track record of building relationships across multiple teams, and experience and deep understanding of how to get work done in matrix organizations.
        • Demonstrated solid business judgment and ability to execute on a daily basis with a bias for action.
        • Ability to exercise independent judgment and discretion and maintain confidentiality.Education
          • Bachelor s Degree required
          • Advanced Degree Preferred, MBA or Masters in CommunicationsPhysical Requirements
