Position: AP Manager Reports to: Accounting Manager Location: Irving, TX Job Type: Full Time / Non-Exempt Job Summary: The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for managing a team of 2-3 individuals encompassing all aspects of accounts payables, including entering, reconciling, paying, and archiving. The Accounts Payable Manager will work in support of all internal departments and vendors to ensure timely and accurate payment of our vendor relationships. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Lead and organization the activities of the accounts payable team. Manage workstreams, workloads, and timelines to effectively and efficiently process accounts payable. Establish key metrics for measurement and meet defined goals and activity metrics. Establish and build strong vendor relationships; manage vendor expectations and communications. Process PO's; reconciling to vendor invoices and inventory receipts Obtain and reconcile monthly statements for vendors and company credit cards. Routinely interact with vendors to reconcile transactions and balances to maintain accurate accounts, including questions or issues related to unpaid or past due invoices. Review and submit invoices for approval; track and follow up timely on unapproved invoices Post invoices in various accounting systems Assist in resolving invoice-related inquiries from internal departments and external vendors. Prepare routine entries and post financial transactions; reconcile entries and internal ledgers to financial reporting system reports. Prepare and review the check run using various predefined payment methods (EFT, check, credit card, etc.) Provide weekly reporting and analysis. Know when to escalate to department head or senior management. Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the above duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or six to seven years of related experience. Proficient in MS Office - Outlook, Excel, and Word; 10-key by touch. ERP experience a must (Acumatica is a plus) Ability to perform simple accounting or bookkeeping procedures. Must have strong work ethics; self-motivated and a team-player. Must be detail-oriented, reliable, flexible and professional. Problem-solving skills, documentation skills, research and resolution skills, data analysis and multi-tasking skills. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
