About this role:Wells Fargo seeks a Technology Director to serve
as a Technology Infrastructure Engagement Leader. This executive
leadership role is key and transformational for the Technology
Infrastructure organization, as part of our forward-looking
Technology strategy. This person will manage Technology
Infrastructure's (TI) relationship with a CIO managing the
Technology function for one of our major business divisions.This
executive will function proactively as the primary point of contact
and the voice of the client for infrastructure needs. Built upon a
data-driven decision culture, this leader will effectively drive
business and technical decisions guiding CIO teams towards our
Infrastructure target technology state and collectively delivery on
technical, business and company goals. In this role, the leader
will be an accelerator/enabler of change and play an integral role
at the intersection of engagement, adoption, and consumption.In
this role, you will:
- Focus on delivering commitments aligned to enterprise strategic
priorities
- Build support for strategies with business and technology
leaders
- Guide development of actionable roadmaps and plans
- Significantly contribute to the transformation and alignment of
Infrastructure's product portfolio to meet business needs and
strategy objectives
- Be the messenger of change, bi-directionally
- Achieve improved expense management through strong demand and
hygiene
- Identify opportunities and strategies for continuous
improvement of software engineering practices
- Set risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to
implement key risk initiatives
- Develop strategies for hiring talent
- Lead implementation of initiatives and encourage engineering
innovation
- Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including
more experienced managers
- Lead team to achieve objectives
- Interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies or industry
forums
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for
Technology Strategic Leadership
- Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet
business objectives and strategyRequired Qualifications, US:
- 8+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or
equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the
following: work experience, training, military experience,
education
- 4+ years of Management experienceDesired Qualifications:
- Specific knowledge of the specific division's business and
technology or the ability to use like experiences to come quickly
up to speed
- Experience managing an enterprise-wide technology
infrastructure or service component or all end-to-end distributive
infrastructure activities for a major line of business
- Proven experience leading and executing complex technology
transformational programs across an enterprise
- Skilled in Business Process Management, leading a process
centric organization, managing to quality indicators and driving
continuous improvement activities
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and consult with key
business partners and translate complex, technical concepts so that
they are clearly understood in support of sound decisions to meet
business objectives
- Experience empowering close collaboration with business and
channel partners to foster a customer centric design and
development culture built on trust.
- Strong matrixed management experience in technology within a
global large scale financial services company
- Broad knowledge of the IT infrastructure systems integration
and how IT enables the business through effective strategic
planning, governance and management disciplines
- Success begins with a clear vision and purpose.
- Lead dedicated squads to drive bi-directional work engagement,
controlled messaging, and strong delivery management to enable
quick execution.
- Cultivate feedback loops allowing for continuous
improvement.
- Serve as strong enabler of TI and the CIOs. Guide CIO teams
towards TI target technology state and deliver on our 6S strategy,
TI and Wells Fargo goals and priorities. Embrace a data-driven
decision culture with a relentless focus on simplification in
parallel with TI adhering to the model.
- Serve as a leader in TI's product transformation journey to
centralize our operating model around consumer products, using
cross-functional Agile delivery teams.
- Support the alignment of TI's product portfolio to meet
business needs and strategy.
- Develop deep understanding of CIO-aligned business as well as
the technologies of the business.
- Establish highly collaborative and effective relationships with
the CIOs and their teams built on high trust.
- Acts as accelerator/enabler of change to help CIOs deliver on
their 6S objectives.
- Be the messenger of change to and from CIOs.
- Lead as problem solver who can bring integration/technical
value-add.
- Improve expense management through strong demand (what the CIOs
need and what the CIOs are giving back).
- When necessary, clearly define roles and responsibilities
operating within an agreed-upon operating model.Pay
