Old Republic Risk Management (ORRM) is currently seeking an Assistant Vice President - Account Executive responsible for our South Central region based out of Irving, TX. ORRM provides primary casualty insurance products to corporate and group insureds with complex risks. A pioneer in the alternative risk market since 1985, ORRM delivers innovative solutions and services that offer unparalleled flexibility in insurance program design and structure.In general, the Assistant Vice President - Account Executive markets and underwrites complex casualty insurance for large corporations.Essential duties for the role are as follows:

• Work with Senior Leadership on effective marketing strategies proactively researching trends and changes in the marketplace.
• Market complex primary casualty insurance products for large corporations to those corporations and their brokers.
• Maintain a book of current business including managing the service relationship, annual renewals and credit risk.
• Calculate and negotiate ceding commission and other fees with client companies/captives to obtain and renew profitable business.
• Coordinate actuarial and credit reviews to ensure proper security is posted by the clients to avoid uncollectible reimbursements and negative impact to statutory surplus.
• Develop, negotiate, and implement all contracts with client companies to properly reflect program structure while safeguarding the security of Old Republic.
• Implement, service, and monitor performance of Old Republic in fulfilling the needs of client companies and assuring proper operation of program.
• Coordinate the placement of reinsurance as needed.This position requires a bachelor's degree, or equivalent, and a minimum of ten years related experience in casualty underwriting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Working as an Account Executive requires frequent travel by use of motor vehicle, public transportation, and/or airplane. In addition, an Account Executive must be able to work independently and effectively within a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Windows and Office products is necessary. This position also requires proficiency in the use of computer systems.
