Stores. --- About This Opportunity Responsibilities 7-Eleven is
seeking a Release Manager who will be responsible for coordinating
and managing software releases. The ideal candidate will have a
strong understanding of release management to help with pre-release
and post-release activities, communication, and coordination. On a
day-to-day basis, the Release Manager will facilitate the flow of
information between the Product and the Development teams as well
as champion Agile Methodologies and Principles. Work closely with
development teams to ensure that code changes are integrated and
tested prior to release. Develop common strategies for release
governance across multiple departments. Establish consistent
release management processes. Facilitate cross-department
coordination of release management functions. Track an
enterprise-wide release calendar. Measure release cadence and
effectiveness using common metrics across the entire software
portfolio. Define common mechanisms for rollback and standards for
capturing release-related performance indicators. Identify
opportunities for greater efficiency across the enterprise.
Communicate with stakeholders, including product owners,
development teams, operations teams, and customers, to ensure that
releases are delivered on time and meet expectations. Facilitate
and/ or participate in release readiness reviews, milestone reviews
and business Go/No-Go Reviews. Continuously work toward
improvements in the release process across the program.
Qualifications Education: 4Yr Degree Years of Relevant Work
Experience: 5+ years Years of Management Experience: NA
Certifications/ Licenses: Release train Engineer (RTE) strongly
preferred. ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library)
preferred. Agile certifications from Scrum Alliance or other
recognized entities (CSM, PMI-ACP) preferred. Experience working
with ART's(Agile Release Train). Specific Knowledge and Skills 5+
years of Release Management experience working with various
Applications/ Services/ Dev Ops teams Knowledge of the release
management lifecycle which involves: Planning, building, testing,
communicating, deploying, and reporting. Excellent written and
verbal communication skills with the ability to document key
decisions, risks, and action items. Atlassian knowledge (Jira and
Confluence). Experience with ServiceNow. A good understanding of
Change Management, ITIL, Configuration Management. Strong verbal &
written communication skills. Strong communication, facilitation,
presentation, and consensus building skills.
