Job Summary Executive leader responsible for the company's financial system and process optimization program, including the leadership, execution, and delivery of Vistra's Finance Transformation initiative. This leader will manage the efforts of a cross-functional team of business and IT SMEs, as well as contractors/vendors, in support of the financial systems and processes transformation effort. This leader will partner closely with the IT organization in the ongoing execution of this program.Job DescriptionKey Accountabilities --- Identifies and develops work plans and resources for automation/transformation opportunities through the evaluation of existing business processes and systems/applications with partnership from accounting, finance and other functional areas --- Oversees the execution of ERP system implementation and transformation/automation projects to help optimize all elements of the accounting and finance functions. Includes partnering with IT and executive leadership to manage internal stakeholders and users as well as external service providers for seamless team results --- Functions as the key point of contact for Technology Services and business stakeholders, serving as the champion and voice of finance stakeholders and helping generate the accounting and financial systems roadmap. --- Provides thought leadership to accounting and finance stakeholders in understanding emerging automation and data analytic technologies/opportunities. --- Develops presentation quality deliverables for executive leadership and the Board that includes Vistra unique insights, quantifiable savings targets, and clear measurement of progress toward overall project completion --- Develops documentation and provide training to support change management for strategic accounting projects. --- Supports internal and external audits;incorporates a "controls mindset" in the development of financial system design and implementation Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements --- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics;IT systems experience preferred as well --- Minimum of 15 years of Accounting, Risk, Planning, and other finance systems experience, including demonstrated ability to deliver accounting process automation and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system implementation projects --- Strong knowledge of US GAAP --- Knowledge of accounting and finance business process design and controls;strong knowledge / background in competitive electricity markets operations or similar industry preferred --- Ability to build relationships, partner and influence at all levels across the organization and with external providers --- Ability to effectively lead, manage and prioritize multiple projects to effectuate systems and process changes on time and on budget --- Excellent analytical, teamwork and leadership skills --- Excellent communication skills, including experience providing C-level and Board-level updates --- Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills --- Detail-oriented with a high sense of urgency and exceptional organizational skills --- Ability to work efficiently and achieve high quality results Job FamilyFinanceCompanyVistra Corporate Services CompanyLocationsIrving, TexasTexas We are a company of people committed to: Exceeding Customer Expectations, Great People, Teamwork, Competitive Spirit and Effective Communication.
