Job Summary
The Project Manager II, Technology PMO will be responsible for managing and enforcing Vistra Technology delivery methodology designed to provide for a common execution strategy that enhances project organization, communication and quality delivery of Technology-related strategic initiatives.
The Project Manager II will also be responsible for managing assigned projects, in alignment with the business's requirements and priorities.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

--- Develop project plans and project schedules.

--- Execute and control project plans.

--- Control project cost, schedule and scope.

--- Actively manage issues and risks.

--- Communicate project status to stakeholders.

--- Manage the TXU Energy Demand Management Process.

--- Leverage PPM technology to manage Project Requests.

--- Prepare for and facilitate Prioritization Meetings.

--- Support Business Cases development (for Tier 2-3 Projects).

--- Support development of the General Technology project projection.

--- Support communication of project status for "in-flight" projects.

--- Work in a highly collaborative manner to maintain an effective relationship with IT.

--- Balance business priorities against IT delivery capabilities.

--- Facilitate "IT Solutioning" sessions to identify cost effective options to meet business requests.

--- Support technology implementations that support the Demand Management / Project Management processes.

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

Project Management certification is a plus

--- 2-5 years of experience of as project lead / project manager and using project management tools.

--- Exceptional meeting management skills.

--- Excellent negotiating, consensus building and conflict resolution skills.

--- Familiarity with Software Development Life Cycles.

--- Familiarity with Project Mgmt Process Groups and Knowledge Areas.

--- Excellent Project Management skills

--- Ability to manage several projects simultaneously.

--- Ability to manage cross enterprise initiatives with stakeholders from multiple departments

--- Frequent travel between company facilities; occasional overnight travel

*Experience gained through college degree programs and/or certifications is applicable to above skills.

--- Project delivery to schedule, "speed to market"

--- Satisfaction of primary project stakeholders

--- Project financial management within approved tolerance

--- Adherence to required processes and controls
