The Program Management Lead is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.

The CRS Business Operations Department is searching for an individual with operations, operational risk and, process improvement experience to oversee and manage governance matters as it relates to comprehensive operational risk that arise within the Business Operations. This individual will lead initiatives that are consistent with Citi's risk framework to ensure sound operations of Business Operations. The role requires the ability to demonstrate strong business acumen, ability to drive sustainable solutions, understand system infrastructure and processes, and offer creative solutioning as well as provide check and challenge to ensure risk mitigation is achieved to avoid reoccurring issues. This person will work closely with cross functional business teams to formulate and implement business recommendations and may report out to management, auditors and regulators on issues and closure activities. This position works closely cross functional teams across Business Operations, Business Control Team (BCT), Compliance, Legal, Partner Management, Marketing, Compliance Assurance, Business Project Management teams, Technology, and Risk.

Responsibilities:

• Supports planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of strengthening and enhancing CRS Business Operations risk framework.
• Applies in-depth understanding to business partners in all matters affecting operational risk while working closely with the business teams to ensure the most effective use of tools and resources to simplify processes
• Oversees risk mitigation plans to ensure they meet business needs.
• Works with business process owners to ensure business case cost benefit analysis is in line with operational risk appetite.
• Provides consult to help drive operational projects and/or programs to align with the operational risk management program.
• Escalates risks to the Program Director, or Program Sponsor, when appropriate.
• Makes recommendations for training and development needs, when appropriate
• Ensures essential procedures are followed and contributes to defining standards.
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
• Performs monitoring of controls to ensure applicable procedures are followed and raises observations when necessary to address concerns
• Prepare presentations for senior management that include analytics on areas of potential operational risks, gaps and/or opportunity
• Contribute and can create project documentation to support operational risks or project related activities such as creating business requirements, project plans, decision documentation, accountability and ownership documentation, as well as process and procedural materials
• Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members and exemplify how to always be audit read Qualifications:
  • 6-10 years of related experience
  • Experience in Risk Assessment and the development and compilation of policies and procedures
  • Balanced blend of analytical skills, problem solving, and reporting and communication skills
  • Ability to assess business transactions and products in terms of the associated risks
  • Advanced organizational skills including attention to detail, multi-tasking and following up
  • Experience using databases and other tracking tools to enforce global consistency
  • Excellent writing and presentation skills
  • Experience working collaboratively across various areas of the organization and presenting to senior management
  • Ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
  • Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy. Education:
