As part of the Risk function, your work can make an immediate impact. Citi Risk Management is a strategic business partner and works closely with the global management teams in the Institutional Clients Group (ICG) and the Personal Bank and Wealth Management (PBWM).

Summer Analysts will gain an understanding of Risk best practices, learn about Citi's businesses and the Risks it manages. This Program offers a unique perspective providing development opportunities in Risk while supporting various functions and businesses. Risk Management is comprised of various disciplines, including Global Risk Review, Operational Risk Management, Consumer & Commercial Risk Management and Institutional Clients Group Risk. Summer Analysts will begin their program with a series of classroom training sessions. These functional and technical training programs are designed to promote professional development and effective work habits during our Analysts' time here at Citi. Summer Analysts will undergo an orientation to Citi, including business overviews from seasoned professionals within the various Risk disciplines. The program will offer learning and development opportunities in technical skills as well as building communication and presentation skills. Summer Analysts are also matched with a junior and a senior mentor who will guide, support and mentor their Summer Analyst throughout the summer.
Your time here will look something like this
The Risk Management Summer Analyst Program is a developmental program which introduces college students to Risk Management through diversified experiences. This Program offers a unique perspective providing development opportunities in Risk Management while supporting various functions and businesses. The Program is a 10-week program in a specific role within one of the Risk disciplines including Global Risk Review, Operational Risk Management, Consumer & Commercial Risk Management and Institutional Clients Group Risk. Summer Analysts work closely with management teams and are provided the opportunity to add value to the company and are provided the opportunity to add value to Citi through responsibilities structured to respond to the increasingly regulatory, quantitative and technical demands of the financial world. The Risk Management Summer Analyst Program is a significant feeder pool for the Full-Time Analyst Program. This program consists of key roles that are identified and aligned with Citi Risk objectives, structured for completion within a two-month timeframe, reporting to Risk professionals that can provide appropriate leadership direction, and provide the candidate with a variety of development opportunities and skills.
We want to hear from you if
You are currently pursuing a BA/BS degree in Economics, Accounting, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics or Statistics (graduating in December 2024 through June 2025)
You currently maintain a GPA of 3.3 or above
You must possess valid US work authorization in order to be eligible to participate in the Program. You will not require sponsorship for U.S. work authorization now or anytime in the future
You are creative in solving problems and are intellectually curious
You have a strategic and analytical mindset; possess strong data analytical skills.
