Reporting to the VP of Marketing, the Director of Brand Management is a key member of the marketing leadership team accountable for developing the overall brand strategies, customer and category thought leadership, and financial plan delivery for our biggest Category: The Dairy Business. This position will have ownership over Category Retail Strategy, Analytics & Reporting, Product Media Strategy, Brand Planning and P&L, and overall Portfolio Strategy. This role blends strategic leadership and individual contributor execution to bring to life our short-term and long-term brand goals. --Key Responsibilities:Marketing & Portfolio Management:----- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --Develop and propose initiatives for multi-year success, including leading R&D.----- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --Lead planning, budgeting, and execution of Dairy Category marketing plans by understanding brand equity, identifying opportunities, and managing packaging development.----- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --Collaborate with Shopper Marketing Manager and Director of Marketing Communications to evaluate and improve marketing programs.Market Knowledge & Category Management:------------------------------------------- Anticipate and analyze consumer and market trends to enhance Cacique's competitive position.------------------------------------------- Understand the competition, customers, consumers, and brand performance in the market.Forecasting & Process Management:------------------------------------------- Analyze the business's margin profile and strategize for improvement, including SKU rationalization and pricing reviews. Understand category budgets and business plan objectives through continuous tracking and analysis.------------------------------------------- Lead the development of category strategies and plans, including the annual strategic operating plan and marketing plan, and participate in joint sales & marketing planning processes.--Required Skills:------------------------------------------- Demonstrated strategic leadership skills, including the ability to--execute plans--or--translate strategic vision into actionable steps--for implementation------------------------------------------- Proficiency in analyzing and interpreting syndicated data from IRI or Nielsen is required, Mintel experience a plus------------------------------------------- Strong communication skills and ability to effectively present to and lead large group discussions------------------------------------------- Channel an entrepreneurial spirit and have a growth mindset; strong desire to win as a team.------------------------------------------- Ability to lead and facilitate key customer interactions------------------------------------------- Ability to influence others through analysis and presentation------------------------------------------- Strong PC proficiency to include Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint----Required Experience:------------------------------------------- Bachelor's degree in marketing or related field required, master's degree preferred.------------------------------------------- Minimum 8 years of experience in a category/brand management role in a CPG company required; Food/Fresh CPG a major plus.------------------------------------------- Minimum of 3 years in a director-level role------------------------------------------- Proven success improving and accelerating household penetration of an underperforming brand. ------------------------------------------- Must have experience owning and implementing brand P&L and revenue management decisions.------------------------------------------- Demonstrated leadership, taking initiative, and delivering results with internal and external cross-functional teams.------------------------------------------- Demonstrated success in managing and directing change.--Travel:Up to 25%--At Cacique, eligible teammates receive a comprehensive benefits package which includes medical, dental, vision, life insurance and short-term disability.-- As well as vacation, sick, holiday pay, birthday day off, 401k with company match, and more!--We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity and/or expression, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state, or local protected class.
