The right candidate will need to possess the drive and interpersonal skills to resolve common conflicts experienced through transformation, help evolve the team, the platform and constantly drive business value in a dynamic and hyper-fast environment as you will be part of a transformational effort leveraging multiple cloud technologies to evolve and enhance our infrastructure and services. Lead a team of system engineers within the Global Consumer Bank (GCB), Core Infrastructure Services (CIS), L3 Application Infrastructure Team who are responsible for designing, implementing, operating, and maintaining server operating systems/related components to ensure high levels of availability and security of the system. This person will drive adherence to the planning and implementation of policies/procedures to ensure infrastructure server maintenance is consistent with organization goals, industry best practices, and established security requirements. In addition to traditional infrastructure server responsibilities you will be responsible for reviewing the environment to execute initiatives that reduce failures and improve overall performs of the systems through increased instrumentation/automation to validate the environment. This role has direct responsibility for Operational Excellence personnel covering -18,000 Servers, 11,756 ATMs, 26,955 Global Branch End users, 41,727 Call Center Agents employees across 64 countries and indirect management services delivered to the Consumer business for Mainframe, Cloud, Network, Information Security, and Data Center Operations. Experience with Cloud technologies, infrastructure transformation and automation is required. Previous experience as an Application Development Manager is highly desirable.
RESPONSIBILITIES: - Must be able to coordinate and resolve issues across the entire stack - hardware, software, application, storage, DB and Network. - Collaborate with a cross-functional team of application developers, operation engineers, and architects to understand complex product requirements and translate them into automated solutions. - Recruit and develop high performing talent with forward compatibility skillsets; development of a learning environment; demonstrating teamwork, diversity, respect and collaboration across the GCB CIS function and other partner organizations while fostering a culture of innovation, commercial savvy, dependability, pragmatism and excellence. - Maintain and apply a broad, current, and forward compatible industry perspective on technology trends/opportunities, leading practices and our position/capability/performance relative to direct competitors and parallel industries/organizations. - Design for specific business requirements aligned to business architecture, roadmap and technology standards, balancing strategic alignment with the need for pragmatic and commercial solutions that enable business objectives to be met; ensuring efficient, delivery and effective governance of all solution design activity globally. - Keep tabs on the execution and impact of strategic initiatives and BAU project initiatives within scope; ensuring disciplined structuring, planning and control of all projects and timely/proactive engagement of stakeholders on issues and risks. - Liaise with existing Service Delivery functions to engage key business stakeholders and CIO's to build relationships and ensure strategic alignment, clarity and support of business priorities, proactive escalation on project delivery and/or operational issues, risks and education/communication on technology innovation, strategy, roadmaps and the implications/opportunities for our business. - Liaise with existing Product Management and Production Management functions with a focus on continual service improvement, productivity, optimization, cost, risk and maturity; develop strong/productive relationships with regional GCB Technology stakeholders, as well as partner service delivery organizations within Citi.

- 5+ Years in a technology leadership role- 2+ years leading the expansion and improvement of DevOps capabilities- 10+ years in technology/engineering roles within financial services or a related industry- Experience in leading strategic change in a complex environment to create sustainable improvement in service, cost, productivity, maturity and/or risk- Proven ability to develop and sustain a high performing team and a culture of innovation, commercial savvy and excellence - Knowledge and understanding of CI/CD processes and tools - Understanding of code and script (PHP, Python, Perl and/or Ruby)- Understanding of Agile, Lean and other development processes and methodologies- Working knowledge of server security methodologies, hardening procedures, and best practices- Proven experience with complex multi-site and global network design, multi-layered switch environment, firewalls, VPN, Load balancers, and DNS- Familiar with the fundamentals of web application and relational database architectures - Experience in automation and orchestration using utilities such as Puppet, Chef, Docker, or Cloud Foundry preferred- Knowledge of the various services and capabilities of cloud computing platforms (AWS, OpenStack, Azure etc---)- Ability to prioritize, and work well under pressure- Excellent communication and documentation skills, both in technical and non-technical arenas- Ability and willingness for on-call and after hours work- Adept at learning and applying new technologies and solving new problems- Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree a plus
