The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk. The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.Conduct Management is the company's front line ethics and allegation management function, responsible for team member experience, end-to-end investigations, and enterprise platform management and reporting.-- We focus on team member feedback to drive operational excellence in our company's ethics program to ensure that team members are protected and feel comfortable raising concerns.The Administration Planning and Logistics Team is responsible for establishing and maintaining the governance and operational infrastructure for Conduct Management and providing centralized support and services across the Conduct Management organization to meet our strategic priorities.The RoleThis Regulatory Initiatives Consultant will report to Head of Conduct Management Administration, Planning and Logistics which is an operational excellence function.This executive level leader will be responsible for providing enterprise-wide oversight and governance of several integrated operational risk program workstreams within the Conduct Management space.-- Responsible for developing and driving innovative operational risk approaches and solutions across the enterprise through an influence model.--Recognized as an industry and subject matter expert, thus leader maintains deep business and functional knowledge. Specific functions include: proactively identifies potential business operational risks; constructively challenges existing fundamentals/assumptions and develops alternative approaches/solutions; evaluates the long-term implications and consequences of strategic business decisions and recommends appropriate alternatives for risk management; regularly influences and negotiates with executive management/business heads as well as high-level stakeholders both within and-- outside Wells Fargo; leads initiatives and virtual teams across the organization to deliver enterprise-wide business transformations.This consultant will help the team implement key initiatives in support of the program roadmap, and will work with our enterprise and business partners to ensure that the operational risk capabilities developed are executed consistently across the company.-- May directly manage a small team.Specific roles and responsibilities include: Proactively identifies and documents potential program/workstream risks to operational risk program initiatives, functions and operations and works with the business owner to develop the risk mitigation/elimination plan. Works in partnership with the Conduct Management leadership to constructively challenge existing fundamentals/assumptions and develops alternative approaches/solutions specific to the operational risk program workstreams.-- Supports the workstream owners and deliverable leads by helping to plan, track, and monitor key operational risk initiatives in alignment with the target state. Evaluates the long-term implications and consequences of high priority regulatory actions and recommends appropriate alternatives for risk management.-- Documents these recommendations in standardized programmatic reporting mechanisms Provides leadership and support to proactively identify areas of resistance and potential barriers to implementing recommendations.-- Leads and supports the processes to identify, articulate, and resolve or escalate issues and roadblocks that are preventing teams from successful execution within the operational risk program workstream. Regularly influences and negotiates with Enterprise Program Leads, front line program owners, and project management resources.-- Supports and drives workstream initiative changes to enterprise-wide implementations, managing to tight deadlines and deliverable dates. Acts as a liaison to business groups and virtual teams across the organization to lead the delivery of enterprise-wide business transformations.-- Participates in the development and execution of strategies to enhance the adoption of the enterprise transformation and align critical partners to support the target state. Address deliverables that may be past due or in a red status and work on the path to green with the key stakeholders.-- Support various information-sharing forums and mechanisms to bring transparency and clarity to program dependencies and engagement with other relevant workstreams and business groups. Provide coaching to existing resources to drive comprehensive management of operational risk transformation milestones. Periodically facilitates executive and detailed level views of the monthly and quarterly status reporting. Facilitates operational risk leadership reviews with front line program owners. Liaises with workstreams to ensure reporting is consistent and delivered in a timely manner, adhering to tight deadlines and milestone dates. Manage and drive the collection of artifacts that support the integrated and individual workstream plans. Engages stakeholders regarding project issues and decisions.Note: Listed locations are preferred, but willing to consider other Wells Fargo hub locations.As a Team Member Manager, you are expected to achieve success by leading yourself, your team, and the business. Accomplish management responsibilities which include sourcing and hiring talented team members, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, recognizing and developing team members, identifying and managing risks, and completing daily management tasks.Required Qualifications12+ years of experience in compliance, operational risk management (includes audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk), or a combination of both; or 12+ years of IT systems security, business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 6+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination of bothDesired QualificationsAdvanced Microsoft Office skillsExcellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skillsStrong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracyAbility to interact with all levels of an organizationExperience working with internal and external auditors and examinersExperience coordinating internal audits or examinations conducted by external partiesExperience working at a federal bank regulatory agency or experience interacting with federal regulatory agencies managing regulatory examinations and continuous monitoring activitiesExperience reviewing testing strategies and methodologies; evaluating the adequacy and effectiveness of policies, procedures, processes, initiatives, products and internal controls; and identifying issues resulting from internal and/or external compliance examinationsKnowledge and understanding of Shared Risk Platform (SHRP) such as reporting and issue managementStrategic planning experience in translating leadership vision into executable strategies and initiativesAbility to influence, partner, and negotiate with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goalsSuperior project management skills including the ability to handle multiple projects concurrentlyKnowledge and understanding of Business Process Risk Management (BPRM)Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperativesAbility to synthesize complex analytical findings into executive level communicationsOther Desired Qualifications Deep understanding of risk framework, corporate/business policies, and programs to translate into plans for the business, function and/or risk type Strong technical knowledge of conduct management approaches / programs and front line risk management Proven ability to grow talent in the organization through effective coaching and skill developmentJob ExpectationsAbility to travel up to 25% of the timeDisclaimerAll offers for employment with Wells Fargo are contingent upon the candidate having successfully completed a criminal background check.
