Job description: The IT Director Enterprise Application
Architecture will have primary responsibility for working with key
stake holders, both business and IT, to build a holistic view of
Flowserves business process, data, and IT assets worldwide. The
Enterprise Architect is responsible for the technical, data and
business process solutions for the most important enterprise-wide
programs as well as setting the technology direction for the
corporation. The Enterprise Architects core mission is to optimize
the enterprise by working across organizational and application
silos to drive common and standard approaches. The Enterprise
Architect must deliver a robust end-state vision architecture that
enables the Enterprise in the most efficient and secure IT
environment possible. He/She is also responsible for maintaining
and building a roadmap from the existing business process and
technology assets to the end-state.
The Enterprise Architect is considered a senior IT executive who
has responsibility for translating business strategies and
operational models into technology, applications, data, and
business processes roadmaps required to enable them. The incumbent
must be strategic and forward thinking, working with key leadership
and subject matter experts throughout the corporation to define
roadmaps and plans that will streamline the business and remove
complexities within the organization. He/She is expected to be
highly networked both within and outside the Flowserve organization
to help identify emerging trends and technology opportunities for
the organization to innovate for competitive advantage.
Develop and clearly articulate future state, guided by business
outcome statements. Develop strategies and roadmaps that supports
standardization, sustainable simplification and enables the
necessary capabilities to support the current and future business
models. Identify and champion technologies, applications,
solutions, processes, business models, data and information to
support the business end. Act as the champion to promote
architecture across IT and the corporation. Establish operating
model that brings business and IT leaders together to collaborate
in Enterprise Architecture decisions to support the delivery of
business outcomes. Acts as the senior spokesmen for technology
strategies and architectures both within and outside the
organization. Develop and Chair the Enterprise Application
Architecture Review Board made up of senior IT executives to ensure
compliance with define IT architecture frameworks and roadmaps.
Work with counterparts to evaluate emerging trends and technology
that could impact the industry and organization, with the objective
of creating actionable recommendations on opportunities to pursue.
Develop operational metrics to ensure the Enterprise Architecture
practice is delivering measurable value to the organization and
specific business outcomes.
-- A minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in
a directly related area, during which both professional and
management capabilities have been clearly demonstrated.
-- BA degree in computer science, mathematics, operations,
management, or a related field is required.
-- Extensive experience in a global complex organization preferably
-- Extensive expertise in the Enterprise Architecture.
-- Extensive expertise in an SAP ecosystem including integrations
with Windchill, MDG, Ariba, IBP, MII and BPC among others.
-- Extensive expertise in business, process and data modeling.
-- Experience in Application Portfolio Rationalization. Experience

manufacturing industry trends.
