Las Colinas RN NICU Program Coordinator Full-Time Days . Medical

Neonatal Program Coordinator creates, develops and implements
specialized clinical practice in the specific area of neonatology.
Serves as a clinical resource person in the NICU, and serves as a
liason throughout the facility and in the community regarding
services provided for this unique patient population. Build
collaborative relationships with other Neonatal Program
Coordinators of designated facilities within the Perinatal Care
Region. Job Duties and Responsibilities: * Level III NICU clinical
experience * A registered nurse who has successfully completed and
is current in NRP * Has the authority and responsibility to monitor
the provision of neonatal patient care services from admission,
stabilization, and through discharge * Oversight of the NICU
Quality Assurance and Process Improvement (QAPI) intiatives *
Collaborate with Neonatal Medical Director in areas to include, but
not limited to: developing and/or revising policies, procedure and
guidelines, and the QAPI program * Collaborate with NICU Nurse
Educator in assuring staff competency, education and training for
the neonatal patient population served * Chairs the neonatal QAPI
multidisciplinary meeting; presents monthly statistics and quality
improvements * Ensures ongoing family-centered care practices *
Data mining to ensure quality in perinatal program * Development of
grand rounds to facilitate family-centered care * Develop education
and outrach programs * Develop a research infrastructure that will
facilitate ongoing research * Provide age appropriate care to all
patient populations for which program coordinator is responsible
and trained for and demonstrates communication skills appropriate
for age Special Qualifications * Expertise in neonatal assessment.
Ability to establish the requirement to obtain neonatal levels of
designation throught the State of Texas * Ability to work
independently and function as a part of an interdisciplinary NICU
team to continuously improve the process to enhance patient
outcomes * Effective communication and problem solving skills *
Kowledge base in adult learning theory. Able to apply knowledge to
education offerings * Participation in committees related to
neonatal care * Membership in professional organization (AWHONN,
NANN) preferred Experience * Mininum of 3 years clinical experience
working in Level III NICU Education * Must be a graduate from an
accredited school of nursing * BSN preferred Benefits: We offer you

Qualifications * Minimum Position Requirements: * License and
Certifications: * TX RN License or RN Compact State License * BLS
(AHA) certification * NRP (AAP) certification * Specialty
Certification relevant to role such as RNC-NIC or RN-LRN ANCC
boards preferred Mental and Emotional Requirements: The incumbent
must manage stress appropriately, make decisions under pressure,
mange anger/fear/hostility/violence, handle multiple priorities and
