Medical Staff Coordinator is responsible for physician and allied
health credentialing and recredentialing. Reporting to the Medical
Staff Services Director, the Medical Staff Credentialist is
responsible for meeting management and flow of information from
medical staff committees through the Medical Executive Committee
and Governing Board. In this position the Medical Staff Coordinator
assists with regulatory survey preparation and educates medical and
non-medical staff on accreditation standards. Your credentialing
knowledge, attention to detail and commitment to professionalism is
critical to ensuring we provide the best experience in healthcare
for our patients. What You Will Do In This Role
- You will prepare, analyze, and processes credentialing
documents for applicants applying for clinical privileges and
medical staff membership; completing all follow up
required/requested (i.e. letters, signatures, etc.) regarding
credentialing issues.
- You will processes requests for, and monitors duration of,
Temporary and Locum Tenens Privileges in accordance with medical
staff bylaws and The Joint Commission standards
- You will generate reports, statistical information and staff
rosters for publication; distribution of medical staff information
(i.e. letters, rosters, etc.) following the Board of Trustees
meetings
- You will be responsible for coordinating, developing,
attending, composing minutes, and providing direction to all
medical staff committees and department meetings including
appropriate follow-up to assure committee/department goals are
met.
- You will maintain open communication to be a resource to
practitioners for issues of sensitivity, problem solving, or
confidentiality and maintains confidential files on all privileged
practitioners; serves as a resource to physicians' office staff.

- High School Graduate / GED
- Previous experience preferred This role requires you to be
fully vaccinated for COVID-19 based on local, state and /or federal
law or regulations (unless a medical or religious exemption is
