Job Description & Requirements - Specialty:ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline:RN - Start Date:07/21/2025 - Duration:52 weeks - 35 hours per week - Shift:12 hours, days, nights - Employment Type:Local Contract RN ICU Days Plano, Texas Registered Nurse - 5 CUB Patient Population: Heart, Lung, and Vascular Shift: 3/12’s / Days, Nights Type of Cases: This is a Cardiovascular Universal Bed Model unit that spans TelePCU to CVICU. CV Surgeries, LUMBAR, CRRT, Balloon Pump, Impella, CRRT. Very demanding, no push/pull, can’t be un attended in restroom. Patient Ratios: CVICU 1:1, ICU 1:2, PCU: 1:3, TELE 1:4 Required Experience: Knowledge in common Cardiovascular ICU Procedures, Hemodynamics, medications. You must have (1) one year (prefer 2 yrs) of recent, full-time Cardiovascular ICU/CVICU Job Summary As a Registered Nurse, will oversee patient care provided by the healthcare team using a professional practice model. Your responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses. What You'll Do You, as an RN, will conduct detailed clinical assessments, prioritize patient and family needs, create, implement, and evaluate care plans. Adjust plans to reach desired outcomes. Building relationships, managing discomfort, staying professional are vital in therapeutic connections with patients and families. Creating care plans reflecting values aids in resolving issues. You will help educate patients, families, nurses, and community members to empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices. Assess and document learning needs regularly. Work with colleagues and community to create a care plan. Delegate tasks carefully and follow up promptly. Qualifications Grad of an Accredited Program Specialized field of study should be nursing.
