Providing specialized care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), this contract nursing opportunity is ideal for experienced RNs with a passion for supporting critically ill newborns. Location: Irving, TX This assignment is based in Irving, a vibrant city known for its diverse culture and proximity to major metropolitan areas. Position Type: Contract Schedule: - 3 twelve-hour shifts per week - Rotating weekends and holidays Responsibilities: - Provide direct nursing care to NICU patients, managing a patient ratio ranging from 1:1 up to 1:4 - Utilize state-of-the-art equipment including nasal cannulas, bubble CPAP, ventilators, oscillators, IV pumps, NIRS, warmers, and isolettes - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including LVNs, PCTs, nurse externs, and unit secretaries to ensure comprehensive patient care - Accurately document patient information using electronic medical record systems such as CPN and Meditech - Float as needed to related units such as PICU, Pediatrics, and CICU, supporting overall patient care within the facility Desired Qualifications: - Active RN license with Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) experience - Strong clinical skills managing critical neonatal patients - Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays - Effective communication and teamwork abilities - Familiarity with neonatal specialized equipment and electronic documentation systems This contract role offers an opportunity to expand your NICU expertise within a supportive and technology-driven environment.
