As a WOCN at Methodist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing patient outcomes, focusing on the care of patients with wounds, ostomies, and continence disorders. This position requires specialized knowledge and clinical skills to provide high-quality care in various settings within our healthcare network. Assess patient condition and formulate individualized patient care plans for those with wound, ostomy, and continence needs. Implement and evaluate nursing interventions for wounds, ostomies, and continence. Educate patients, families, and caregivers on disease management and prevention strategies. Monitor healing progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records. Provide hands-on care and perform procedures such as cleaning, dressing changes, and other wound care treatments. Expertise in wound care management Comprehensive knowledge of ostomy care and maintenance Ability to educate and guide patients and families Excellent communication and interpersonal skills High attention to detail and precision in treatment application Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse (CWOCN) certification Active RN license in the state of Texas
