Job Description:

As a part of Methodist Health System, we are seeking a dedicated MRI Technician to join our team on a PRN (as-needed) basis. This role is crucial in providing top-notch imaging services that help our medical teams deliver personalized and effective healthcare solutions. The ideal candidate will operate Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scanners, maintain equipment, get patients ready, and ensure high-quality images are captured following our protocols. This position requires someone who is compassionate, attentive, and profoundly committed to aiding in the diagnostic process that impacts patient outcomes directly. Operate MRI equipment to produce images according to physician's orders Assist radiologists with imaging procedures and ensure patient safety Conduct screenings and collect patient history pertinent to the medical imaging Implement safety procedures to prevent any risks associated with the magnetic field Maintain equipment cleanliness and report needs for repairs or upgrades Provide support and explanations to patients, easing them into the imaging process Proficiency in using MRI technology Strong attention to detail Excellent patient communication and care skills Ability to work in a team Knowledge of radiology safety and procedural standards Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) Registered MRI Technologist by ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) preferred
