Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/23/2026 - Duration: 12 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift Labor & Delivery position in Texas, requiring a TX or compact RN license and advanced certifications. Responsibilities - Work in the Labor & Delivery unit within a hospital setting - Night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am - Care for patients during antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases - Unit consists of 9 beds with patient ratios typically 1:1 or 1:2 depending on acuity - No floating required and no on-call responsibility - EMR systems used: MEDHOST and GE Centricity - Block scheduling available upon request - Provide comprehensive nursing care including assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation for Labor & Delivery patients - Purple scrubs are required for this position - Effective leadership and critical thinking skills are necessary for safe care delivery - Holiday coverage may be required as scheduled - RTO (requested time off) must be under 1 week per request - Not open to local travelers within a 50-mile radius Requirements - Active TX or compact RN license required - Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required - At least 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required - Must live more than 50 miles from the facility - No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months - No certifications may expire within 30 days of contract start - Candidates who were perm staff at a CHS facility within the past 2 years will not be considered Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-661406.
