Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. A Registered Nurse with specialized experience in Operating Room (OR) care is needed for a contract position in Corsicana, TX. This role involves delivering comprehensive perioperative nursing care, ensuring patients receive exceptional attention throughout surgical procedures, and collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. Responsibilities: Administer medications, collect specimens, and perform clinical treatments as part of the plan of care intervention. Document patient care activities accurately and timely. Monitor, record, and communicate patient status to care teams, physicians, patients, and families. Assist patients with activities of daily living, including hygiene, nutrition, elimination, and ambulation. Collaborate across disciplines for patient transfer, discharge planning, referrals, and psychosocial support. Assess and address learning needs of patients and families, providing education tailored to age, culture, and condition. Advocate for patients physical and emotional well-being during perioperative care. Operate Stryker video towers for laparoscopic procedures and support surgical teams during operations. Qualifications & Desired Experience: Active Texas RN license. Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association. Minimum of 2 years recent experience as an OR RN. Proficiency in surgical procedures and laparoscopic equipment operation. Ability to respond within one hour for weekday and weekend on-call shifts. Flexibility to float between two facilities as needed. Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. On-call and weekend coverage with variable hours.
