Job Description:
SAFETY. TEAMWORK. CLARITY.BURNCO has an immediate opening for an
extraordinary Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to be based
out of our Irving, TX office. Reporting to our US Manager, Human
Resources, you will support Human Resource's business strategy,
specifically by improving core human resource activities within the
organization. This role contributes to the strategy of the HR
function and helps to provide a comprehensive HR service to
managers and employees within BURNCO.What You Will Be
DoingSpecifically, as BURNCO's new Texas HRBP you will be expected
to deliver outstanding results and achievements while you:
- Build relationships and partner with business operations to
understand their priorities and deliver HR solutions and services.
Be able to provide tactical and strategic HR support.
- Work closely with business leaders and HR leadership to develop
an effective HR strategy regarding recruitment, employee relations,
benefits and culture.
- Coach and counsel supervisors and managers on leadership best
practices, assist in providing development plans and training
opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with broader Human
Resources shared services team including Payroll, Benefits and
Talent Acquisition
- Understand/administer all employee benefit programs such as
health insurance, optional benefits, vacation, other paid leave
programs, and 401K
- Participate in and project manage annual programs for a defined
client group. This will include performance management,
compensation planning, workforce planning and succession
planning
- Utilize metrics and data analysis to support recommendations
and decision making
- Interpret and explain human resources policies, procedures,
laws, standards, or regulations
- Address employee relations issues, such as harassment
allegations, work complaints, or other employee concerns. Conduct
effective, thorough and objective investigations into
complaints.
- Ensure proper staffing requirements and quality of hire by
managing recruitment process effectively
- Initiate changes to human resources policies, procedures and
programs as required
- Cross-train and assist in broader HR tasks and activities as
needed
- provide peers with required paperwork and information for
processing
- Perform other duties as assigned RequirementsWhat We Would Like
From You
- Experience working in manufacturing, construction or
transportation a plus
- Working knowledge of human resource information systems (HRIS)
and analytics, preferably UKG Pro. Proficient in Microsoft Office
Suite
- Advanced knowledge of employment law, employment standards, and
HR best practices
- Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation
skills
- Excellent emotional intelligence, coaching and negotiating
abilities
- Adherence to confidentiality and compliance requirements, DOT
experience a plus
- Capable of taking initiative, proactive decision making, and
problem solving
- Strong detail orientation, ability to set priorities,
multi-task, track actions, and follow through to meet deadlines
(project management)
- Valid Passport with the ability to travel at times to support
US operations and Canada ( less than 10% )
- Ability to perform the routine and regular duties of the job
including typing, talking, sitting, standing, and lifting office
supplies up to 20 lbs. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) in Human Resources, Business,
or a related field
- 5+ years of Human Resources experience as a Generalist or
Business Partner
- Human Resources Certification preferred Since 1912, BURNCO has
