Reporting to the Director, Global Financial Crimes Technology - AML, this is a new position within the Global Financial Crimes Technology Team. Global Financial Crimes Compliance Technology designs, implements and oversees the Bank 's AML technology systems and applications, ensuring consistent global standards are met to support the execution of the Global Financial Crimes Division 's AML functions.
This position will be responsible for overseeing global implementation of MUFG 's strategic transaction monitoring and case management solution. Working across multiple operations and technology teams, the incumbent is responsible for ensuring user requirements are effectively captured and integrated, promoting user engagement globally, and enhancing smooth implementation and execution. The Incumbent will be expected to liaise effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including Head Office team members, Branch and regional operations and compliance staff, senior executives, PMO, developers, data scientists, front line operations and business staff, and control functions including Audit. The position may also have responsibility for oversight and liaison of multiple locally-based technology initiatives.
This position is based in Irving, Texas. Occasional travel may be required.
Major Responsibilities:
- Oversight responsibilities for global implementation of new Case Management Tool and Transaction Monitoring System and adjunct data and analytics components of global financial crimes related system implementations
- Interact with global, regional and Branch level business users to ensure requirements are correctly captured while balancing enterprise strategic technology objectives and appropriate risk mitigation
- Provide leadership and expertise to stakeholders within the bank on the global compliance platform, serving as a bridge between the HO GFCD Technology teams and global, regional Branch users
- Support and oversee UAT functional and business validation for TMS and CMT systems
- Ensure the global compliance platform complies with GFCD Global standards, policies and procedures, and all other applicable regulatory requirements
- Assist in the creation of business requirements documents and other reporting documents and artifacts
- Work collaboratively across functional teams within GFCD to ensure effective and efficient operations with clearly defined roles and responsibilities
- Bachelor 's Degree or equivalent work experience focusing in Information Systems, Business, Analytics or other related field. Master 's Degree preferred.
- Minimum 8 years direct experience supporting Risk/Financial Crimes technology, analytics, and/or audit experience relating to financial crimes systems. PMP certification or other project management experience preferred.
- In depth knowledge of financial crimes systems and workflows including Transaction Monitoring and investigations. Strong preference for direct knowledge of Actimize financial crimes implementations.
- Knowledge of database structures, back end functions, and data environments (such as Enterprise Data Warehouses).
- Experience with UAT testing and software product lifecycle.
- Strong writing skills ability to capture technical requirements in clear and complete written form.
- Experience with large scale financial crimes application implementations. Technical Project Management experience preferred.
- Ability to pro-actively recognize control gaps.
- Collaborative with strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous follow through.

Additional skills:
- Thorough understanding of an effective financial crimes risk management framework
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with sanctions and AML name screening and/or KYC applications and process is a plus.

- Ability to work effectively with teams of project managers
- Solid judgment, strong negotiating skills, and a practical approach to implementation including knowledge of Bank systems.
