This Senior Software Test Automation Engineer will be located onsite in either Santa Clara, CA or Irving, TX. WHAT YOU'LL DO: The Hematology Software team is seeking an experienced Senior Software Test Automation Engineer. This individual will have a critical role in feature-based automation test strategy definition and design. The role also involves supporting development software releases by performing software verification testing, logging defects, and providing recommendations on build readiness. What You'll Do

  • Develop test automation implementation; write test scripts to automate functional and system test scenarios.
  • Work as a member of Agile Scrum Team to support software development.
  • Build, refine and manage a suite of instrument functional, regression and performance tests.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to testing.
  • Perform software testing related work in a collaborative team environment to ensure quality processes are integrated throughout an iterative and fast-paced development environment
  • Apply software testing techniques to support test development, review and analysis, test execution, and verification of software
  • Understand and apply automated test strategies to the entire development life cycle to deliver products that delight our customers
  • Perform integration and acceptance testing through automation for new software builds
  • Isolate, characterize and log new software defects
  • Perform risk-based impact analysis for defect fix testing
  • Build relationships with peers across the business and uses these relationships to drive innovation.
  • Become savvy in new technologies by taking courses, learning from peers, or self-driven education Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Math preferred.
    • Associates degree and 1 year experience, minimum -Preferred:
      • BS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field
      • 5+ years of experience with software development or test automation
      • Strong experience with leading scripting languages (Python, VBScript, etc.) or one of the major software development languages (Java, C++, C#)
      • Ability to automate UI and non-UI components and functionality.
      • Experience with one of the leading test automation platforms (Selenium, TestComplete).
      • Experience with Scrum/Agile software development methodologies desired
      • Technical leader and exemplar of testing best practices for Automation testing methodologies
      • Able to create logical, well-structured and optimized test designs
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills
      • Creativity in test design and finding bugs
      • Passionate about product quality
      • Highly detail oriented and accurate
      • Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
