The Scrum Master II is a servant leader that supports the development team and product owner to increase business agility and maximize value delivered.

JOB DUTIESGuide and coach the Scrum Teams on how to apply agile values and principles, and use the Scrum Framework on implementations Protect the development team from outside influences and remove impediments for Scrum Team progressCoach the team to self-manage to ensure Sprint objectives are met Empower the team to be self-organizedBuild a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, with an emphasis on healing and problem solvingFacilitate getting the work done without coercion, assigning, or dictating the workAssist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating informationSupport and educate the Product Owner, with respect to Product Goal definition and Product Backlog managementWork closely with the Product Owner to ensure product backlog is visible, clear, concise and prioritized towards incremental business value that meet the Definition of DoneFacilitate various Scrum events such as: Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint RetrospectivesWork collaboratively with the Scrum Team to transition product roadmap initiatives into great experiences for our customersWork with the Product Owner and Development team to manage and track overall project health including cost, schedule and quality and Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID) and create management reports and metrics, including velocity and burn downManage portfolio and program financials, create purchase requisitions / orders and track actuals against monthly forecasts Perform other duties as assignedDevelops and maintains strong relationships with vendor resources, vendor management, development teams, stakeholder and senior management. Establishes a reliable communication channel with all stakeholdersConform with all company policies and procedures

KnowledgeMust exhibit strong applied knowledge of agile frameworks and principles including Scrum from multiple teams/productsDemonstrated evidence of a servant leadership mindsetProficient in the use of Agile delivery tools such as VersionOne, Jira or Azure DevOpsDemonstrated evidence of continuous learning mindsetProven track record of project execution in a large and complex business environment, completing and shipping excellent products on time and on budgetSkillsGood understanding of product and sprint backlog tracking, burn down metrics and velocityAbility to coach on Agile, Scrum, at a level accessible to beginners and dive deep for advanced topicsAdvanced interpersonal, presentation and communication (verbal and written) skillsGood negotiation and leadership skills with the ability to influence and inspire in a collaborative team environmentExcellent people skills, with an ability to listen well, facilitate, guide an understand and diverse viewpointsDemonstrated ability to build consensus among many stakeholdersStrong organizational skills with the ability to manage and work independently on multiple projects simultaneously with minimal directionAbility to work in a matrix organization, collaborating with business stakeholders, product and project managers, development and vendor teamsHigh Emotional Intelligence (self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy and social skills)Ability to operate with the utmost integrity and consistently display a positive attitude to work A change agent; progressively challenging the team to continuously improve and cultivate a culture of innovation and learningEducationBachelors Degree in related field or equivalent work or military experience requiredExperience3-5 years experience working in a digital environment in a leadership role required3-5 years project management experience required2-3 years experience as Scrum Master required3-5 years financial services experince preferredLicensesScrum Master Certification (CSM or PSM) or PMI-ACP preferredWorking ConditionsNormal office enviornment, ability to effectively work remotelySubject to stressful situationsPossibility of working long hours including weekends/holidays, occasional overtime may be requiredLimited travel may be required to support business needs
