Job Description:

The Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting enterprise tooling, monitoring, vulnerability & patch management across a complex IT landscape (Network, Compute, Cloud). This role reports into the Systems & Tools Tower Lead and partners with other MT functions, Business Units, and MSPs to optimize enterprise monitoring/tooling/automation to maintain availability, performance, and security posture of critical infrastructure and applications to the McKesson enterprise. Responsibilities: Executes vulnerability & patch management deployment across a complex IT landscape (network, server & cloud) ensuring compliance to both McKesson ISRM and industry security standards. Supports day-to-day Operations between SOC, MSPs, IT Operations, and Business Units. Supports enterprise monitoring/tooling/automation platforms. Maintains the overall monitoring, alerting capacity/performance platforms for IT infrastructure and applications . Partners with other MT functions, Business Units, and MSPs to drive continuous improvement and harmonize operational processes/tooling/automation to deliver operational excellence, efficiency, and value to McKesson Business Units. Ensures timely resolution of operational/security/infrastructure issues to minimize the impact of service disruptions on the business units. implements automation opportunities for enterprise monitoring, incident response, patch deployment, and provisioning activities. Resolves audit and compliance-related issues to reduce the risk of security exposures on the support systems and implement improvements. Collaborates with ISRM, MT Teams, and Business Unit stakeholders to promote agile ways of working, and continuous improvement initiatives. Standardize processes and procedures, focused on an end-to-end process perspective. Partners with BU teams on improvement opportunities based upon reporting/trending findings as well as operational readiness. Build & provide updates on significant announcements (technical/ business-related including change restrictions) with potential impact on the enterprise monitoring/tooling/automation platforms Required Behaviors Constantly monitors and improves efficiency, effectiveness, and impact. Qualifications and Experience Required Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field is preferred, or 7 years' experience. 5 or more years of experience working in IT infrastructure services and operations environments. Previous experience working in large, cross-functional teams/partnering with MSPs. Previous experience in supporting enterprise monitoring/observability/ patch management platforms. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, and analysis skills to provide insights into performance and efficiency opportunities Strong planning and organizational skills to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities Strong verbal and written communication ability with customers, senior-level management, and organizations throughout the company. Proven Experience in implementing continuous improvement to harmonize and optimize best-in-class adoption of enterprise monitoring, tooling & automation platforms. In addition to base pay, other compensation, such as an annual bonus or long-term incentive opportunities may be offered.
