Job Description:
Administer, test, and implement computer databases, applying
knowledge of database management systems. Full life cycle support
of clients database(s). Responsible for database backups, design,
development, testing, and performance tuning. Design and build new
structures to support application enhancements and promote database
changes. Responsible for quarterly patch applications (PSU) and
periodic database upgrades with minimal downtime in database
environment. Upgrade the database from lower versions to 19c and
resolve the issues after the upgrade. Tune the queries using
various tools to improve performance. Administer, manage and tune
high-transaction production server environment(s). Switchover the
databases in data guard env as needed and test the connectivity
after the switchover. Requirements : Employer will accept a
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology,
Engineering, or related field followed by two years of experience
in the job offered or two years of experience in any occupation in
which the required experience was gained. Experience must include
two years in each of the following: 1. AWS and AZURE for Oracle 19c
DB creation and configuration 2. DB upgrade from lower version of
Oracle to 19c. 3. DB Migration to AWS (EC2 and RDS) and Azure. 4.
AWS (S3, DEEP_ARCHIVE) and Azure Blobfuse for Backup and recovery
5. Enterprise Manager fleet images for Patching 6. Performance
Tuning of OLTP and DSS applications. 7. SQLT, OEM, ADDM, AWR, TOAD
and SQLdeveloper tools. 8. Creation and maintenance of Oracle Real
Application Clusters (RAC). 9. Oracle Data Guard for creation and
maintenance of Physical Standby DBs 10. Root cause analysis. 11.
Prepare DB Host Machine Images to provision DB hosts in AWS or
Azure 12. Maintain Oracle Enterprise Manager target properties,
including group membership and target properties for reporting and
alerts. Required to work from Company Office in Irving, TX certain
days per week. Telecommuting allowed for balance of week. Epsilon
