Position Summary:

The Director, Sales & Operations Planning (DSOP) role is a newly created role within the American Division and is responsible for leading the implementation and execution of industry best sales strategies, practices and overall maturity evolution of the S&OP processes and RTM operations, in collaboration with cross-functional teams and senior executive leaders. The DSOP acts as a key advisor to the GM in the development of the division's strategy, managing all aspects of the S&OP process and strategic initiatives while contributing to the overall product supply reliability, customer service levels and inventory management. This job contributes to Pernod Ricard USA's success by working with other members of the S&OP team, ensuring delivery of the corporate strategy to create a demand-driven organization.

Major Responsibilities / Accountabilities:

Sale & Operations Planning (S&OP) - Facilitate and lead the S&OP process through management of the meeting cadence, materials, and attendees

KPI Management - lead the management of division wide KPI reporting. (Monthly, Quarterly, ad-hoc).

ACE Management - lead the division with the use of Power BI for account selection and analysis of performance, providing recommendations and insights.

Forecasting Excellence - work with Finance Director in each market on Flash Forecast submissions, providing additional ad hoc analysis as needed.

Innovation Supply (allocated, non-allocated) - work with key stakeholders on innovation and allocated rollouts, ensuring alignment on product supply and market orders.

Supply Chain Troubleshooting - work with the markets and Supply Planning Dept directly on supply chain issues as they arise within the division. Work cross-functionally to discuss supply chain challenges and create a project plan to recommend a solution.

Innovation Tracking & Performance - analyze performance on core innovation to include tracking against division goals: depletions, accounts sold, velocity, by state and channel. Provide recommendations on future opportunities.

Incentive Management - Act as division hub for all national and division led sales incentives. Provide reporting/updating cadence that is reported out to the division.

New Brand Ventures (NBV) Projects - Interface with NBV leadership team, bridging communication between NBV VP Sales and Sales Managers to ensure alignment on priorities, roll out of products

GM Special Projects - work with GM on additional, special projects for the division to help drive NSV growth. These could include things such as: driving Jameson fair share distribution (maximization), delivering the "Malibu Wall of White", High End Irish program

Project Lead - Act as division primary point for Project Lead within division. Communicate and incorporate organization & roles changes; provide continuous support/training on LEAD principles; ensure compliance with Ways of Working (WoW) across PRUSA and distributor teams.

Distributor Training Resource - Act as division training support, coach distributor resources on brand standards

Best Practice Leader - Develop sales processes within the division that deploy and recognize best practices and sales tools sourced from corporate and/or other divisions. Uphold corporate sales strategies.

Other:

Create roadmap to improve enterprise S&OP maturity and ensures overall health of the S&OP processes.

Ensure consistency in planning around new product, transitions, delisting and integrations.

Provide decision support to internal teams

Lead improvement projects to streamline supply chain operations

Support/or lead change management efforts

Be a functional lead as part of technology selections and implementation

Ensures best practices in planning, product segmentation, safety stock requirements, risk assessments and monthly demand forecast changes

Consult GM on LEAD implementation and changes required in each state to align with corporate structure

Collaborate with Region Managers/Region Directors to monitor and execute on the new PRUSA structure and roles (including right resourcing levels)

Work with distributor GSMs or SM/SDs to continuously monitor and improve distributor overlay and dedicated structure and roles & ensure compliance

Key requirements:

Education: Requires Bachelor's Degree, ideally in Supply Chain Management, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics or related field with additional training in sales force effectiveness and sales and local marketing strategies; MBA a plus.

Experience / Background:

Minimum 8+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Inventory Management, S&OP or similar field. Previous sales or management experience within the alcohol beverage industry preferred.

Experience in supply chain optimization including network flow optimization, inventory optimization and facility planning

Resourceful in defining systems strategy, developing systems requirements, designing and prototyping, testing, training, defining.

Proven, successful track record of earning trust and influencing across the organization

Highly analytical and strategic but able to stay on top of tactical execution

Ability to build teams and lead others cross-functionally to deliver on projects and goals

Excellent presentation and communication skills

Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively and efficiently

Strong technical experience with ERP systems (JDE, SAP, etc.) and with supply chain planning technologies like JDA, Logility, Oracle ASCP

Strong MS Office skills with Excel, Power Point, and Word

Strong knowledge of leveraging technical information for data collection (data visualization)

Entrepreneurial spirit and able to manage through ambiguity
