Job Overview:

The Data Lead Analyst is a seasoned professional role that reports to the Data Custodian of the new Global Transfer Pricing system that is being built. The Data Analyst will manage the consistency of data elements, data acquisition, Metadata and Data Quality issues that will help Business / Functions to utilize data assets to full capacity and ensure that all available data is 'fit-for-purpose'. The Data Analyst will also be responsible for the detailed assessment of Data Quality, identification of anomalies and discrepancies and the contribution of expertise to understand the root cause and implement corrective measures. Work closely with business process owners, accountability points in business and operations and data custodians in IT to ensure that Citi standard data governance processes are followed. As such, the candidate will have experience acting as a point of accountability for data content and quality that is consumed, processed and distributed.

The desired candidate will have experience with custom built and/or vendor products that support the governance process e.g. data dictionaries, logical and physical lineage tracing to establish provenance, governance workflow. Requires good analytical skills in order to filter, prioritize and validate potentially complex and dynamic material from multiple sources and articulate analytical findings in clear and concise deliverables including presentations, visualizations and discussions. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Regularly assumes informal/formal leadership role within teams. Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating services to others in area of specialization.

Rsponsibilities

  • Understands all aspects of Data Governance, Metadata and Data Quality Management
  • Ability to perform data integrity checks, report anomalies and work with the technology teams for resolution
  • Capable of driving initiatives within businesses, function, and across the enterprise.
  • Ability to communicate strategic insights and updates with executive stakeholders (Ex: CDO, DGO, etc.)
  • Excellent oral/written communication (prefer experience in facilitation) and presentation skills which bring clarity and precision to help management understand and visualize complex material to support organizational decision-making
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to recognize and comprehend complex data governance issues, policies, regulatory requirements and industry information affecting the business environment
  • Exposure to multiple business units to understand the linkages and dependencies
  • Knowledge and expertise in the use of project management methodologies and tools
  • Excellent writing skills, with the ability to create clear requirements, specifications and documentation
  • Strong ability to communicate embed information, business process and system wide changes to a technical and nontechnical audience
  • Ability to work on own initiative within agreed boundaries
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage conflicting priorities
  • Ability to work with technical and nontechnical staff
  • Flexible and adaptable

Requirements:

  • 5+ year experience working in Data Governance, Metadata and Data Quality Management
  • 5+Proficiency in SQL and other analytical tools/scripting languages such as Python, R, or SAS
  • Experience with technologies such as Informatica, Manta, Solidatus, Collibra, Linkurious, ASG technologies other data governance and data quality tools.
  • Experience with technologies like Tableau, PowerBI, Alteryx, QlikView, QlikSense,, Spark, Hive, SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, Hadoop Ecosystem, Kafka or other data visualization and Big data technologies
  • Experience in Data Quality concepts & best practices, Data Stewardship, and/or Data Management preferred. Demonstrated Data Analyst skillset
  • Experience in program governance, risk management framework and basic understanding of Operational Risk Management preferred
  • Ability to partner with a broad group of stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of program/project goals.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office: Excel (metrics and data analysis), PowerPoint (presentation decks) and Word (writing and editing documentation)
  • Advanced understanding of Project management methodologies and tools especially Agile methodology

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or Information Systems, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Masters degree is preferred, but not required
