The Agile Practice Architect (PA-I) performs as an Agile Coach and Trainer as part of Agile Transformation engagements and is responsible coaching/mentoring customer those engagements. This candidate must be able to work in a business start-up environment, have an entrepreneurial mindset and must be able to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment. This person is self-directed and innovative in planning and executing client engagements and can drive to business outcomes based on objectives without much guidance. This person should be passionate about transforming software delivery organizations by leveraging Lean-Agile product development/delivery best practices. The Agile Practice Architect (PA-I) may also assist with internal initiatives such as providing training to TEKsystems team members, championing internal CoEs and CoPs, and evangelizing the adoption of Agile Mindsets and Principles throughout our organization. Key Responsibilities: The ideal candidate is passionate about building successful, collaborative teams through facilitation, coaching, and mentoring. They are a practitioner of Agile frameworks, are an excellent listener, possess outstanding conflict-resolution skills, and have the ability to work in collaborative environments. The candidate will be selected based on their ability to be an effective Coach and Facilitator. Other responsibilities include: Evangelizing the Agile Mindset and Principles with team members and company leadership Coach Agile teams to understand what improvements are necessary to become high-performing Individually mentor engagement team members looking for specific advice and information Facilitate team activities and events, as needed Teach and educate team members on Agile tools (e.g. Jira, Rally, ADO, VersionOne, etc.) and practices Develop Agile practices/concepts training/workshop materials such as story-writing workshops, development/engineering practices, testing practices, etc. Consult on and coach team frameworks effectively (Scrum and Kanban) Coach and mentor Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Product Management, Business Owners, Architects, and other scaling roles, as required Role specific training: Leaders, Scrum Master, Product Owner Framework-specific training: Scrum, Kanban, Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Provide coaching for teams and programs leveraging SAFe Understand clients organization Can coach transition vs. transformation Understand clients organization structure, business goals Strong vertical and horizontal communication skills Required Education and/or Experience: 3+ years of Agile experience as Agile Team Coach 2+ years of practical experience on an Agile Team (team-member, Scrum Master, Product Owner, etc) Advanced knowledge of the software development lifecycle Strong knowledge and practical experience in adopting several Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) Experience with practices and tools supporting Agile product delivery SAFe certification (SPC) SAFe5.0 courseware delivery enablement for Leading SAFe, SAFe for Teams, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager and SAFe Scrum Master at a minimum Teaching feedback scores 4+ or greater Certified as an Agile Coach is a plus Bachelors Degree or Associate Degree (or 10 years experience) Requisite Abilities and/or Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills across multiple levels (Executive Sponsors to team members) Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work with diverse personality types Excellent training, coaching and facilitation skills, especially in a virtual environment Facilitation skills in leading planning meetings, reviews, and retrospectives Ability to build and nurture successful client relationships Collaborative approach to decision-making on teams Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail Outstanding presentation and public speaking skills. Proven ability to lead a diverse group toward resolution when faced with ambiguous situations. Travel within North America as needed. Frequent interactions with external customers at the Director level or above; normal level of interactions is the CXO level; established consulting and interpersonal skills with 15+ years experience o Executive Leadership coaching to understand how to implement SAFe in their vertical o Coordination and coaching of the Lean Agile Center of Excellence (LACE) to ensure transformation objectives are achieved o Coaching of SAFe principles during Train/team launches to ensure success o Working with executives and OCM resources to communicate and reinforce the transformation
