Inventory Accuracy Lead:

inventory accuracy lead is responsible for researching inventory discrepancies reported by operations and the cycle count team. This position is also responsible for location audits, facilitating physical inventory counts for all clients, positive and negative inventory adjustments, reporting on submitted inventory discrepancy forms (IDFs), and reconciling lost inventory. This position is client facing and appropriate conduct is required. This position requires 40% reporting results, training and ensuring procedures are followed, 40% researching inventory discrepancies and 20% auditing physical inventory, and any other duties as assigned.

What You'll Do as an Inventory Accuracy Lead:

  • Create reports from the warehouse management system regarding current inventory levels
  • Physically count inventory utilizing appropriate machinery
  • Adjust inventory data in the warehouse management system
  • Collect, resolve, and report on IDFs
  • Conduct research on discrepancies including counting and analyzing system transaction logs
  • Perform root cause analysis of system inaccuracies
  • Facilitate the location audits and physical inventory counts with the client, including coordinating all resources needed, generating count sheets and compiling the final report
  • Lead, train and develop all team members
  • Communicate regularly with the Inventory Accuracy Supervisor, the Account Manager, and the client
  • Participate in the hiring new employees for the department
  • Recommend employees for promotions and pay increases to the supervisor
  • Participate in employee corrective actions and recommend terminations, as necessary
  • Pull data for and manage departmental metrics

Shift(s):

Weekend Shift - Saturday-Monday 7am-7pm

Requirements

What You'll Need as an Inventory Accuracy Lead:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English
  • One (1) to two (2) years of experience in inventory control management
  • One (1) to three (3) years of experience in inventory analysis and optimization
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience leading or managing a team or project
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and vision
  • Experience required with equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts (sit down, stand up and Reach) or scissor lifts
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Some college experience, an associate's degree, or a bachelor's degree
  • Six Sigma, 5S, and/or Lean manufacturing experience
