Reporting to the Educational Services Regional Training Manager,
the successful candidate will be responsible to administer all
aspects related to Mechanical Seal and Sealing Systems training
programs within the region.
The Sr. Training Specialist will work with management and
support resource requirements including facilities and materials.
The candidate will administer all metrics, desired course outcomes,
evaluations and feedback. He/she will establish common processes
and methodologies to ensure the effectiveness of educational
program design and delivery.
Training programs will be delivered at Flowserve facilities
and/or at customer's location within the region. Training programs
will be delivered in-person instructor led or on a virtual
platform. Technical training programs focus on, operation,
maintenance and reliability of Mechanical Seals and systems.
Responsibilities & Requirements:
The Sr. Training Specialist, Mechanical Seals and Sealing
Systems will be responsible for the following key
Facilitate training courses and programs in the field of
Mechanical Seals and Sealing Systems;
Mechanical Seal Selection and Application
Seal System Selection and Application
Mechanical Seal Engineering & Design
Installation, Operation, Maintenance and Trouble Shooting
Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
RCA Level 1 - Symptom Identification
RCA Level 2 - Seal Component Failure Analysis
RCA Level 3 - Process & Investigation
Deliver various combinations, of classroom and hands-on
instruction, instructor led or virtual.
Perform assessments of the participant's knowledge and skills
Support the development of training curriculums based on the
outcome of the knowledge and skills assessments and assist in the
development of training materials, documents and hands-on training
Act as a subject matter expert on Mechanical Seals and Sealing
systems supporting the Global Materials Development Group when
Work closely with materials management to define and agree upon
program competence standards and recommended working processes and
procedures to ensure the most efficient and effective training.
Establish and maintain close working relationships with other
internal departments and functions to promote the best interests of
Flowserve Corporation, specifically the AMSS Mechanical Seal and
- Continuously monitor progress and provide regular feedback to
customer and Flowserve training group.
The ideal candidate will have;
A bachelor's degree in engineering with 8 - 10 years of
experience gained within relevant industry with at least 10 years
of field experience or;
10 - 15 years of experience in a sales related function,
specializing in Mechanical Seals and Sealing Systems.
Must have a passion for teaching and working with people. The
ability to entertain an audience and prior training experience is a
Excellent communication and public speaking skills and a high
standard of written and spoken English as well as strong PC skills
and experience with Microsoft Windows, Word, and PowerPoint are
Additional language skills would be plus.
Must have strong experience with rotating equipment (Centrifugal
Pumps, Compressors and Turbines).
Demonstrate a working style which is team oriented.
Able to work effectively with high degrees of self-management
making decisions around priorities.
Ability to work closely with customers either face to face or be
telephone and is a good verbal and written communicator with a
confident and positive manner.
Understanding of SHE and OSHA regulations.
- Position requires up to 60% travelling within the region; and
occasionally other regions as needed).
