Celanese is
seeking a Leader for HR M&A. This role will lead HR due diligence and integration planning and execution efforts for Celanese's acquisitions and other corporate transactions. This role will partner with internal Celanese HR functional partners, HR business line partners, Business Strategy & Development integration leaders, and other leadership through all phases of an M&A project as well as serve as the primary Celanese HR contact for transaction target M&A teams.

 

This role will be based in Dallas and will have a global scope, supporting acquisitions across all geographies and business lines. This role will excel at being a self-starter problem solver, possess a high degree of judgment and be capable of working collaboratively on often highly ambiguous and confidential matters.




  • Lead a team that owns end-to-end HR deal and integration strategy and execution for transactions of all types and sizes - in partnership with our Business Strategy & Development, HR, and Leadership teams
  • Deliver strategic deal and integration recommendations to senior leaders that shape HR M&A strategy and execution and enable the business to execute on key objectives
  • Create and enhance scalable deal and integration playbooks and best practices, leveraging automation and repeatable innovation when possible
  • Cultivate relationships with senior executives across Celanese and across the M&A ecosystem
  • Provide hands-on support and project management in all HR matters for M&A deals from due diligence through integration phases and ultimately through transition to business HR teams
  • Partner with key HR subject matter experts to deliver solutions for integration issues such as: immigration, recruiting, benefits, compensation, payroll, time and attendance, retirement plans, stock/equity, HR compliance, employee relations, organization design, diversity & inclusion, talent management, and performance management

 

  • 5 - 8+ years experience at a top-tier company with direct M&A deal & integration experience. Examples include: HR mergers & acquisitions, HRBP, compensation & benefits, corporate development, or management consulting
  • Experience managing deal and integration-related teams
  • Passion for building and improving highly cross-functional processes with a knack for delivering tangible results and working across teams to unblock bottlenecks
  • Track record of creating and leading internal people programs designed for scale in a high growth environment
  • Outstanding business and global acumen with the ability to lead and partner both cross-functionally and internationally
  • Ability to drive business outcomes autonomously and effectively in a fast-paced environment, and to effectively balance multiple high priority initiatives at once
  • Outstanding negotiation, analytical, problem solving, communication, project management, and prioritization skills
  • High degree of judgement
