While this role has a primary location in Irving, Texas, we are open to the role being filled by the right candidate who chooses to work instead from any of our manufacturing facilities throughout the U.S.

The Pricing Business Partner will be responsible for engaging with business unit leaders to identify and co-lead opportunities to spur profitable growth through pricing actions. The role will report to the Director of Pricing with dotted-line responsibility into the platform-specific M&T VP.  In this role, it is critical to develop and validate pricing models and monitor pricing effectiveness.  Additionally, the Business Partner is responsible for driving best practices, influencing others through technical pricing expertise, and balancing multiple, competing priorities.  Engaging with product managers, sales, and marketing teams to garner insights and learnings for incorporation into our pricing strategy and for developing our pricing models will be a primary accountability.  Success depends on building rapport and credibility with multiple stakeholders across the organization at every level. This role can work from Irving or any of our US facilities.


Roles & Responsibilities:

• Value capture - work with stakeholders to:
   o identify opportunities for pricing value capture
   o outline analytical approaches to validate and refine opportunities
   o drive adoption of strategic initiatives
• Price management and action
   o Develop effective segmentation strategy
   o Establish and manage adherence to pricing process and governance
   o Maintain product knowledge and regularly monitor industry pricing practices, particularly for major competitors           and distributors
   o Understand current economic conditions and financial implications
   o Drive development and implementation of price increases
• Price capability building
   o Coach business unit stakeholders in key pricing topics
   o Identify ad hoc or project-specific opportunities to share pricing best practice
• Product pricing
   o Support Product Management in setting appropriate list prices and discounts based on analysis of market                  climate, competition, and product life cycle
   o Coach new product development team in defining customer economic value proposition
• Culture
   o Establish a strong, collaborative culture with peers and other functions
   o Promote a culture of success, pride, performance, discipline, and creativity
   o Lead and instill a sense of urgency for improvement to meet and exceed customer requirements.

• BS in Business, Engineering, Marketing, or related field (advanced degree, certification preferred)
• 10+ years of experience in pricing
• Demonstrated ability to improve processes and drive best practices across matrixed environment
• Willingness and ability to travel, domestically or internationally, approximately 15%.
