Independent Risk Management establishes and maintains Wells Fargo's risk management program and provides oversight, including challenges to and independent assessment of, the frontline's execution of its risk management responsibilities. Corporate Risk roles depend on a variety of skills, including: Data analysis and synthesis, root cause analysis, change management, process management & execution, risk governance, risk strategy, risk identification & assessment, risk prevention, controls & mitigation, risk monitoring, reporting & escalation, risk systems & technology.Wells Fargo Auto Originations Credit Risk Strategy team is looking for a Credit Risk Associate for supporting Acquisitions Credit Risk Strategy.--Responsibilities may include (but not limited to):----- Perform complex and in-depth analysis to gain insight from data mining and other statistical/quantitative processes--- Recommend strategy/process/policy improvements relevant for all credit risk originations teams based on analysis, regulatory requirements, and business partner-- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- -- --initiatives--to Senior Management and business partners--- Identify and execute against strategic opportunities to support the --ongoing refinement of credit policy and business operational efficiency--- Demonstrate a team approach while taking a leading role in achieving results that meet business needs and regulatory requirements ----- Collaborate with internal business partners on implementation of the policies, process improvements and strategies.----- Effectively communicate analysis results and strategy recommendations to business partners and senior management.Required Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a risk role demonstrated through work or military experience; or a Master's degree or higher in business or economics
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • 1+ year of experience with SAS or SQL, or other data management, reporting and query toolsDesired Qualifications
    • A Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline
    • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
