Job Description:
Role Summary:The Payroll Manager will lead, guide and develop a
team of payroll analysts and clerks responsible for all payroll in
North America and Latin America for Flowserve. The Payroll Manager
will ensure completion of all payroll related processes on an
ongoing basis and ensure payroll is processed and submitted
accurately by set deadlines.Responsibilities & Requirements:Manage
team to deliver on these areas of
responsibility:Process/Procedures
- Oversee all payroll time logs, time corrections and all other
electronic paper or interfaces related to the company s ongoing
payroll processes.
- Ensure payroll is closed accurately by performing all data
collection, reconciliation, and application of payroll policies for
area of responsibility.
- Review and Audit prior to each payroll processing.
- Manage payroll workload to meet operational requirements.
- Communicate with all levels of the organization effectively by
responding in a timely manner and providing friendly customer
service.
- Document and maintain payroll procedures.
- Implement any new payroll policies or procedures to ensure that
Flowserve s payroll processes are up-to-date and address the
company s changing requirements.
- Payroll/Benefits: Oversee the benefit process as it relates to
payroll.
- Review and continually improve payroll processing with the key
objective to simplify, standardize and build capacity on the
team.
- Ensure all processes related to payroll are fully documented
and reviewed.
- Manage the relationship with all third-party vendors.Service
Delivery:
- Support the service delivery and provide effective and timely
solutions to all Flowserve employees.
- Communicate with all levels of the organization effectively by
responding in a timely manner and providing friendly customer
service.
- Support HR service delivery by working closely with all areas
of HR and operations.
- Prepare relevant weekly, monthly, quarterly and year-end
reports on an as needed basis.
- Ensure exceptional service and meet all service level
requirements for payroll.
- Address issues and provide resolution when service level
requirements are not accomplished.Data Integrity/Compliance:
- Establish HR Compliance standards based on applicable laws,
internal policies and guidelines, and will implement all relevant
procedures and processes.
- Ensure compliance with existing controls including SOX
compliance, internal audit, Flowserve policies, payroll procedures,
and country, state or city laws.
- Submit required compliance documentation to external
authorities on an as needed basis.
- Be the point of contact for the planning and execution of
audits (internal or external).
- Serve as an escalation point and address issues quickly and
efficiently.
- Develop documentation, executive summaries and audit reports as
necessary.
- Perform special projects at the request of as
necessary.Employee Development
- Hold regular meeting on a weekly, bi-weekly or monthly
basis.
- Ensure employees are being challenged and provide learning
opportunities when available.
- Create detailed development plans for each employee.
- Establish Key Results Areas and conduct annual reviews and
provide continuous feedback throughout the year to staff.Position
Requirements
- 7+ years payroll experience with US and other North / Latin
America countries
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes as it relates to US
payroll and other North America and Latin America payrolls
- Strong understanding of Kronos time and attendance system and
experience working with ADP
- Ability to train, document and create governance related to
payroll processes
- Excellent Project Management and continuous improvement
skills
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written and
ability to communicate with all levels in the organization
- Strong escalation skills with the ability to own, de-escalate,
determine root cause and implement risk avoidance improvements
- Proficient in MS Office products with advanced user skills in
ExcelPreferred Experience / Skills:
- Bilingual - English/Spanish
- 3+ years in a payroll manager role
- Bachelor's degree
