As a Full-Time Engagement Professional the more diverse your background the better! The ideal Accounts Receivable Specialist should have experience with entering, posting and reconciling batches, researching and resolving customer A/R issues, preparing the aging report, placing billing and collection calls, maintaining cash receipts journal, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L. Candidates who are self-starters and who have high attention to detail will be the best fit for this Accounts Receivable Specialist position.Role & Responsibilities- Complete a wide range of basic accounting tasks in accordance with standard procedures, including general accounting tasks- Reconcile bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in various ledgers- Verify codes and documents- Promote, communicate, and reinforce the mission, values and culture of the organization- Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans- Pinpoint delinquent customer accounts through various means, including skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment- Offer information to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders- Process payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAPRequirements:--- A diverse background and a willingness to learn--- Technical knowledge and experience working in large accounting packages--- Strong Microsoft Excel Skills--- 3+ years of experience in accounting--- A willingness to adapt to different environments and situations
