transforming.About the role:We are looking for an experienced
business associate with a strong research and analytical
background, to help analyze key business performance indicators and
market competitiveness to communicate actionable insights that
support business performance reporting and enable business leaders
to make informed data driven decisions to support the Digital
Markets growth strategy. The role will also involve driving
prioritized strategic initiatives that support our growth and
create operational efficiencies across the business.Locations:
Stamford CT, Austin TX, Irving TX, Arlington VA, or Barcelona
SpainWhat You Will do:
- Report and monitor business performance on a monthly,
quarterly, and annual basis to the Digital Markets leadership team
providing root cause analysis and insights to understand changes in
performance
- Drive internal data analysis (e.g., segment growth rates),
conduct internal and external interviews and create reports
- Analyze and summarize results, identify trends, assumptions,
and drivers, and communicate actionable insights and
recommendations to key business stakeholders including the Gartner
Digital Markets leadership team.
- Cultivate strong and mutually respectful relationships across
the organization and partner with Digital Markets leadership to
solve problems and identify business improvement opportunities
- Apply competitive analysis tools (e.g., SWOT analysis) to
highlight differentiation and identify strategic opportunities
against several individual competitors.
- Address data quality issues, such as data gaps or biases in
underlying data sets, as well as their impact on reporting
capabilities.
- Employ interviews to develop a nuanced qualitative
understanding of quantitative findingsWhat You Will Need:
- 2+ years of research/analytic work experience in competitive
analysis, go-to-market strategy, or product marketing in high data
volume environments (preferably in internet, software, or
technology industries).
- Excellent critical thinking and analytic skills including
proficiency in using excel, web analytics and business intelligence
tools
- Proficiency in analyzing data and metrics and summarizing
results into actionable insights and recommendations
- Ability to do primary and secondary research independentlyWho
