Overview: Trend Micro is looking for an individual with a passion for Benefits and supporting employees to join the Americas Shared Services team as a Benefits Administrator .The Benefits Administrator will be responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operations of group benefit programs in the US and Canada to include but not limited to: Group Health, Dental, Vision, Flexible Spending Plan, Life Insurance Short-Term and Long-Term Disability, Worker's Compensation, and all Voluntary Plans 401(k) Plan, RPP and RRSP Responsibilities: Process Leaves of Absence STD, LTD, Maternity / Parental, Medical, Military, Jury, Bereavement, etc. , benefit enrollments, termination events and other benefit related programs. Support US and Canadian employees on benefit plans, paid time off and general policy questions. Partner closely with employees, managers, and Payroll for all paid time off adjustments, program revisions and communications. Maintain employee benefit files, databases and manage compliance related requirements to include file retention standards. Maintain Leave reports, with timely updates to managers, employees, and HR Business Partners. Support Workers' Compensation program, including processing claims, responding to questions, and interacting with insurers. Prepare reports to capture census data for US and Canada reporting requirements for COBRA, OSHA, etc. Develop communication tools to enhance understanding of the company's benefits package. Design and distribute materials for benefits orientations, open enrollment, and summary plan descriptions. Gather employee data and oversee the processing of monthly billings and payment of administrative fees for all group plans. Prepare for plan audits. Administer annual benefits surveys in US and Canada. Develop recommendations for management. Review/assess benefits programs related to mergers and acquisitions. Serve as contact for vendors and third-party administrators. Coordinate transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums, and plan administration. Ensure compliance with applicable US government (federal and state) regulations and Canada provincial laws. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting. Comply with federal and state labor posting regulations for the various office locations. Document and maintain benefit procedures Other duties assigned, as needed. Qualifications/Requirements: Minimum of 4+ years of progressive benefit experience with strong absence management experience including FMLA and ADA BA degree preferred GBA, CEBS certification preferred Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Demonstrated self-starter and self-manager, with persistent follow through on assignments Working knowledge of Canadian benefits preferred Ability to consistently deliver high quality communication and customer service in a professional and personable manner Strict confidentiality of employee and company data required Exceptional verbal/written skills and attention to detail Strong financial sense Collaborative and flexible approach to duties and support Excellent PC skills, including advanced Excel skills Workday or other HR information system experienceAt Trend Micro, we embrace change, empower people, and encourage innovation in a connected world.
